Have you considered the possibility of the plot of the new DA movie? Maybe Henry gets killed in a car crash and Mary finally realizes that it’s Evelyn Napier that is her one true love. Crazier things have happened at the Abbey. LOL

Fellowes isn’t smart enough for that. I have zero faith in him but I’d love to be wrong.

Brendan played Stanhope in journey’s end. Which tells me he could have handled a storyline that explored the mental toll of the war on an officer that fought it and had to repress everything both during and after because of his status and it ends up destroying him
