RIP Mary Willard
Sad news over the weekend. The wife of actor/comedian Fred Willard has passed away. Fred and his wife Mary actually had a comedy class in L.A. for many years. Back in 1999, I visited my friend comedian Bill Larkin in L.A. and he brought me with him to one of their classes, as he was a member of their group. Mary was very nice and when I mentioned I was from Boston she talked about how she grew up in Norwood, MA. I learned a lot just from sitting in on that class with Bill. Fred was very nice too! Bill continued to remain good friends with the Willards over the years and he has performed at their Christmas party for years now. She was very well-liked in the comedy world and will be missed.
