Christmas Day Rebellion
Christmas has always been a happy time in the castle. Full of presents, trees, and parties. The royals and their guests have never thought twice before indulging in said parties and filling their mouths full of the food set in front of them, filling their bellies with the wine available. The amount of food and items King Henry and Queen Catherine deem necessary doesn't leave much for their subjects. This year, with the arrival of another queen to court, the citizens have had enough.
On Christmas day, while the a party was in full swing, suddenly the guests could hear a commotion starting outside of the walls. Henry sent two guards to check what the problem was. The entire room tried to ignore the noise outside but they knew something was happening. The guards came back, worried looks on their faces, and reported to their king. He stood and raised his regal hand to quiet the music. "Attention guests," he said loudly. "I have just been informed of a minuscule uprising on the grounds." He was just about to tell everyone not to worry when a rock came crashing through a window, landing on the stairs in front of Henry and Catherine's thrones. The entire room gasped or screamed from the surprise of it all. Some started to panic and find a quick way out, as if the subjects were going to crash through the windows next. Catherine was one of them, rushing to her younger sons since she could locate them at that moment. Henry yelled over the frantic voices. "Silence!" he bellowed and in a second a dropped pin could have been heard. "Guards will escort groups to their rooms, then they will be roaming the halls. Please, everyone, stay in your rooms." It was information for his guests and orders for his guards at the same time. He knew there were plenty to roam the castle and keep the rebels at bay. Catherine herself had over one hundred. As people started to group up and leave, Henry located his oldest sons. It was helpful that Mary and her ladies were also near. "Mary," he started. "Do not go to your room. You and your ladies will go to one of their chambers." Henry then turned to his sons. "Catherine will more than likely take the boys with her. You two stay together in Bash's chambers," he ordered. Bash was just about to speak up when his father answered his question. "Diane and I will be together. It should all be over soon." He was about to walk away when he looked both of them in the eyes, sternly. "Stay in the room." He knew his sons would try and be brave enough to find someway to help. Diane came up behind her lover and grabbed his hand, leaning in to kiss her son before she and Henry left with three guards.
