🏖 . Beach with very calm waters. . Morning run at this beach was perfect start of the day. Sun was rising from the other side of island so with my wife we could run in the shade. . Even though this might seem beautiful, only few meters away from this perfect untouched sand is trash piling up from the night before. 🇲🇺🇲🇺 Southern part of the island is very mountainous. Best shown on thos photo. At the bottom of the photo is seen plateau into which the black river canyon is carved. Middle part of the island is divided by mountains on the picture. Iconic is the one at right. It is called Pieter Both. Top of the mountain consist from isolated rock, which seems it might fall any moment. 🥃 DO YOU LIKE RUM? 🥃 . And do you like bourbon? If you answered 2x 'yes', then Mauritius is an island for you. . This is one of my favourite spots in southern part of the island. Chamarel rum distillery is located pretty high in the mountains. They don't produce rum from mellase, but from sugar cane juice directly. . Afterwards many rums are kept for years in caskets from bourbon, red wine, or ports wine. Thanks to that, rums from this island have very different taste as the ones from Caribbean. . We were lucky and got very good and funny guide, who at the end of guide, offered to us several samples of their products. My curse is always being the driver, but my wife took the task responsibly and tried every sample.
