The Friends of Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge are featured in this month's newsletter from the National Wildlife Refuge Association!
Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge is a unique place; only 400 of the 5800 acres are owned by the Fish and Wildlife Service. The rest is managed by a combination of different agencies, from state and local governments to Indian tribes. Making Mashpee NWR work requires great cooperation between these different agencies, and has been helped by a Friends organization that has flourished under new leadership.
