Maskpaw is a thick-furred cinnamon mackerel tabby molly with sharp orange eyes and a natural bend in her tail. Her muzzle is a bit rounder than needed and in combination with the bend, her tail looks naturally short. Maskpaw inherited her mother’s sturdy and muscular build with thick paws. Maskpaw is the only living child of Brokentail, produced between her mother and the cruel tom during her sweet-cycle though she was born a twin to her brother, Barkkit. Only a few hours after confirming that Barkkit was male, Brokentail stole the poor kit away and disposed of him - claiming he wanted no contest to his throne when he eventually retook ShadowClan.
Maskkit was told as soon as she was old enough to realize most cats had fathers but she had never seen or met her own. It was a difficult revelation for her but it did explain the cautious looks she received whenever cats spotted her bent tail. She got over it soon enough, determined to prove that she wasn’t her sire and to live well for her brother who didn’t get to live at all.
Maskpaw made quick friends with Snowpaw in the nursery and considers him her best friend in the whole clan. She learned pawspeak alongside him both to let them plot pranks in private and it make it easier for his brother to talk to him. She was worried for him when he confessed a dislike for violence and wasn’t interested in becoming a guard despite the pressure his mother was putting on him. Maskpaw admires Mistlefall for standing up for her brother but she hopes that one day, Snowpaw stops caring about what Speckletail wants for him and does what makes him happy.
Maskpaw has a bit of a crush on her best friend and is aware that he seems to hold interest in her as well. With everything happening, Makspaw is willing to take a chance and start courting but wants to be a bit more certain of Snowpaw’s interest in her before she made a move.
Weedpaw and her family are enjoying a lovely fishmas, a holiday where Fetidfoot and the other elders go out to the river and catch a bunch of fish and the kitties have a little fishy feast.

Her face is slightly flattened, her are slightly smaller than usually and she was born with a natural bend in her tail. Maskpaw has dark gray paw pads and a nose leather with short but straight whiskers and thick ear furnishings. She has the long legs of a ShadowClan cat and rounded eyes with a soft belly.
Maskpaw is torn between love for her mother and hatred for her sire - she knows how she came about and she despises her sire with every bone in her body. She’s glad he’s dead and if Tigerstar wasn’t leader of TigerClan, she’d ask if she could piss on his grave as a gift for what he did to her brother.
Snowpaw is her best friend and she has slowly begun to develop a crush on him. She was learning pawsigns alongside him when Yiska and Todai offered as soon as they had the chance. Maskpaw is a little sad that more cats are learning because it means she and Snowpaw don’t have a secret language anymore but she’s also grateful that her best friend won’t have to struggle to read lips anymore.
