mason had been feeling nervous since even before he asked royal if they could talk. just thinking about the prospect of this conversation made him feel nervous. but he needed to know if royal felt the same or even if there was a chance he would. if royal ended up not wanted to date mason wouldn’t be angry. he’d be disappointed and hurt but not at royal. he knew royal was obligated to feel the same way in anyway. besides he still would want friendship.
“i’m not trying to rush you into anything.” mason started tapping his hands against his thigh. the felt clammy and his heart felt like it was beating too fast. he was scared to hear whatever answer royal was going to give him but he had to ask. his crush had gone on for so long and was only growing into more. he wanted to let it but he was scared of getting hurt.
he took in another deep breath. “i just. i still have a really big crush on you. that hasn’t gone away. if anything it’s only gotten stronger since i told you.” mason still had a bit of a tough time dealing with the fact that they slept together. he wasn’t upset about it just felt so strange to him - it wasn’t something he couldn’t consider nothing. “i just need to know if this is going anywhere. if that’s where this is headed. or if we are going to stay friends.”
he hung his head looking anywhere but royal. mason remained hopeful but he always was trying to prepare himself for the worst whatever that would be. mason didn’t want to move on from royal. he wanted to start a relationship with him and only grow closer to him. but mason didn’t know if that was going to happen.
