The Master/Missy: You know I don't have to touch people to hypnotize them, right? It is important to me that you know that.
Me: Yeah, I know, but I'm going to put you in situations. You are going to straddle that person, and it's gonna be a situation. And I am gonna giggle about it.
The Master/Missy: Okay but it's not a sexy situation.
Me: It's torture, people are gonna love it. They love seeing a pathetic little guy in situations.

“You’ll be abducted by aliens – but don’t worry, they won’t carry out experiments on you.”
Setting down the paper you’d just read aloud from, you told O, “That’s a weird fortune to get.” So much, in fact, that you picked it up to read again. Maybe they were a joke variety, like the kind you get from a Christmas cracker. “What did you get?”
O let go of his chopsticks to pick up his fortune cookie. Slowly, purposefully slow you thought, he leant back, cracked it open, and slowly withdrew the piece of paper.
“Well?” You said.
He gave you one of those little smiles, the kind you were growing too fond of, before he bent his head to read his fortune, “Your short term goal will soon be realised.”
You read yours again. “Why’d you get a normal fortune and I got this?”
O shrugged. “Being abducted by aliens is clearly what the universe has planned for you.”
You rolled your eyes. “Again with the aliens? They’re not real.”
“Stranger things have happened.” He insisted.
“Fine.” You huffed, sitting back down in your seat at the conference table. A mountain of paperwork was spread out between you, cartons of Chinese food taking up whatever space was left. “So I’m going to get abducted by aliens. That’s one way to start a new year, I guess.”
The Master grinned slyly, hiding it behind a mouthful of disgusting human food.
“So what’s this short term goal of yours?” You asked.
“I can’t tell you,” O said solemnly, “or it won’t come true.”
“Oh come on,” and before he could say it, “and no I’m not saying your name. That’s when you make a wish, not from reading a fortune. It won’t jinx it.”
“Well I’m just not going to take that chance.” O said, remaining firm.
“Hmm, well I hope – for both our sakes – it’s getting this work done and soon. At this rate, they’ll be no point going home. It’s a good thing we get paid overtime.”
He wouldn’t wish for any such thing, having contrived for C to give you this extra workload solely for the extra time together. But that wasn’t the plan. No such thing as aliens, he mused. How wrong you were; and how soon you’d find out.
* * *
The Master thought human food was disgusting, so you were surprised when the TARDIS landed on Earth and he ushered you into a restaurant. He had learnt his lesson that you needed regular feeding, but he never came to Earth unless he was up to something.
Eyeing him suspiciously, even more so when he pulled out your chair for you to sit, you waited for whatever plot was about to be unleashed. You were well familiar with his schemes, the lengths and breadth of his creativity never failing to astonish but you’d thought you were past the point of surprise. Until you cracked open your cookie.
“You’ll be abducted by aliens,” you started, raising your eyebrows at the Master, “but don’t worry.” You laughed. “They won’t carry out experiments on you.
“I should hope not!” You added.
The Master grinned wolfishly, waiting for a reaction that you hadn’t given him.
Meeting those brown eyes though, it did stir a memory.
Glancing back down at the slip of paper, you read your fortune again.
“I’ve had this before.” You realised. “Did you…”
His grin turned devilish.
“… of course you did. Did you keep them or something?”
He still waited.
“Oh.”
“Yes.” The Master taunted.
“You made the fortune? So that means… were you planning to abduct me?” You said, suddenly outraged.
“Love, I did abduct you. From the Doctor.” He reminded.
“Oh. Right.”
“Did you forget? Or did you consider it a rescue from the teensy goodie two shoes Doctor?” The Master teased. “Admit it, love. You were relieved when I turned up.”
Rolling your eyes, you had no problem telling him that wasn’t true.
“Hardly, you were trying to kill all of humanity at the time. Also, Master, you know the Doctor’s taller than you.”
He ignored that fact. “Or perhaps you were hoping I would experiment on you.”
“You did. You used that god-awful book to figure out how humans work. And don’t think I’ve forgotten that we’re burning that SOB’s house down.”
“Love, I would never settle for such paltry retribution. Think bigger, then we’ll talk.”
You pursed your lips, tempted but you had another question to ask first. “What was your fortune?”
Grinning ear to ear, the Master theatrically picked up his cookie from the plate and cracked it open so enthusiastically that pieces rained over the table. With a flourish, the slip of paper was produced and he held it up to his eyes with a teasing smirk.
“Let’s see here, what does it say.” He drew out. “Hmm, interesting.”
“Master.” You groaned.
“Yes, love.” He said as innocent as a python with a mouse in its mouth.
“What does it say?”
Clearing his throat until he elicited another groan from you, he finally pronounced: “Your long term goal will soon be realised.”
Frowning, you tried to think back to that lifetime ago when you sat with O at work and ate that meal together. You got the same fortune but, “That’s not right. It was your short term goal.”
“Oh, love. I abducted you a long time ago.” Waving his slip of paper. “You’ll just have to wait and see what I have planned next.”
That was a fortune cookie I got on NYE and it made my mind go to this fandom ofc. Sorry it's only a short one! Only proofed it once too 😅 Set after Guileless Guides.
(I think I outlined the psychological problems of the characters themselves more, but so be it)
Master:
• He needs help
He has no idea how to raise a child.
• clumsy and awkward with a child, but it's a matter of time
• really loves her child and his love may sometimes be too much. It belongs to the type of parents who can love their child "to death" (it seems to me that because of his closeness, the master cannot openly show affection, as a result of which it all falls out on the child, which leads to its redundancy, excessive guardianship and care)
• there are also many sweet moments. For example, he can start coming up with cute stories so that the child falls asleep faster.
• spoils the child too much. But it's justified!... In his opinion. How can he refuse him if he asks... Besides, he is so charming ...
• it is difficult to cope with a child in adolescence. Considering that the master is overly attached to his child, it is a little frightening for him to have a child's desire for freedom. However, it is also passing.
• he is in a difficult position when it comes to everyday life
Marghorita :
• For her, this is probably a desirable child. So, too, in a sense, to take too much care of the child, but definitely less than the master.
• despite the previous paragraph, she is sometimes strict with the child. She wants to give her child the best upbringing, so she sometimes shows restraint and perhaps even rigidity.
• tries to instill in the child a love of literature and it is not easy for literature but for good literature. She understands that books have a lot of influence on the child's worldview, so she monitors what her child reads.
• in adolescence, she tends to become more of a friend to a child than a mother. And because of this, problems may arise.
• One of her favorite activities with her child is watching movies. Or rather, the time after the film when she can share her impressions of the film, express her opinion about the plot and characters and hear the opinion of her child as well. She listens attentively and respects the child's opinion. However, sometimes it can turn into a rather heated discussion.
Woland:
• not too strict, not overprotective, the golden mean
However, sometimes it can be frightening even for your child. And Woland is trying to get rid of it.
• one of the reasons why a child will be afraid of Woland is that he always knows when a child is lying or hiding something from him.(However, in some cases Woland prefers to pretend that he does not know about the misconduct) Therefore, we can say that the child will be partially deprived of his personal life.
• The character is tolerant of the child's hobbies. It is rare to hear prohibitions from him regarding a child's hobby, only if it is harmful to the child or society.
• his offspring has an excellent upbringing. Perhaps we can say conservative. Voland's child has many positive qualities. For example: creativity, self-control and calmness
• However, the flip side of the coin is that the child is quite closed in the manifestation of emotions.
Koroviev:
• severe clinical case
• you can hardly wait for real emotions from Koroviev and this greatly affects the personality of the child.
• there is a high probability that the child will be a copy of a man.
• also, for a child, Koroviev is more a friend than a parent. However, for a man, his child will be an excellent companion for practical jokes. The perfect duo.
• However, despite the fact that Koroviev wears the "mask" of a buffoon, his real essence sometimes speaks in him. And it is these moments that become important for his offspring, they largely shape the child's personality.
• despite all of the above, the man is quite savvy in everyday terms. That is, he can easily lull the child to sleep or help him do his homework.
Koroviev is very attentive to his child, despite his external carelessness, he is sensitive to the external manifestations of the offspring's emotions. To some extent, a man is gentle and affectionate with a child.
• he is also very tolerant of the child's hobbies. However, there is a high probability that he will send the child to a music school. Perhaps his child will play the piano, he would like to play a duet with his child (I have an assumption that Koroviev can play the violin)
Behemoth:
• unexpectedly, but one of the best parents
• conservative upbringing.
• since he has a so-called "sixth sense" (It's easier to call it intuition), he is also acutely aware of changes in the child's mood. He is also shrewd in terms of the child's misdeeds
• one of the few disadvantages of a Behemoth as a parent is his pickiness and criticality, it puts pressure on the child.
• prefers that his child be engaged in everyday life. Of course, he is not against the child's hobby, but I do not prefer that the child help with housework.
• despite his strictness, he sees the child primarily as a child, does not dump responsibilities on him.
• Clear separation of roles. Like, "dad is dad, friends are friends," That is, the relationship between a child and a Hippo does not turn into a friendly one.
• despite the previous paragraph, he sees in the child an excellent companion for practical jokes.
Azazello:
• Oh, just as unexpected, but one of the best parents
• definitely gets softer when it comes to his offspring, but tries not to spoil him.
• he would probably prefer that his child practice some kind of martial arts, and it does not depend on the sex of the child.
• despite the fact that Azazello tries not to spoil the child too much, he can overwhelm him with gifts. He just can't do anything about it...
• short-tempered and stubborn, which also causes conflicts with the child. Especially if the child has inherited his character
• it is also likely to be overprotective at times. But he does not seek to control the child too much.
• his child will DEFINITELY not become a household invalid. He'll take better care of it than anyone else. In this regard, it can be said that at times he is quite strict with the child.
Wow, it was quite difficult but interesting. This paper presents a subjective opinion, it may be inaccurate or incorrect. In any case, I have a couple more ideas for similar works. Orders are open.
Summary: You & The Master have history. But it never ends the way you want it to.
A/N: Will probably do a part two
Warnings: TPOTD Spoilers! I guess a slightly toxic relationship??? It’s the Master so… always toxic lol
You stood anxiously, finding yourself subconsciously biting your lip in anticipation. What the hell had he planned this time? Every time you’ve found yourself in his presence, he’d manage to lure you in, make you feel sorry for him, but then he’d ultimately betray your feelings and conceptions about him with trying to hurt the Doctor. Truth was, you understood somewhat how he felt. To not want to be you. To want to be greater, have more purpose, to be… More.
You’d been around the Doctor a long time. Not consistently, after choosing to walk away a few trips after the year that never was, back when she was a different person. But you’d often find yourself mixed up in the Doctors antics over the next few years of your life. You saw her when she was an older Scottish man, and when the current man on your mind was a she… Missy. You’d stuck around for a little while when the Doctor found himself alone after Clara. You’d become close with Missy. Friends you may have even said. Perhaps it was easier, purely because Missy felt completely different to the man you had to face when he was Saxon. Once again, you left, after sticking around for a few months, going back to your normal life. It was only a year or so later you found yourself in another situation involving the Doctor and her greatest enemy.
“Not dead then?” You raised a brow at the new face of the man in front of you. He was donning a dark purple jacket, tartan waist coat and trousers combo with a beard. He somehow looked put together, whilst keeping that crazed look in his eyes that told you he was as wild as years before. Smirking, he approached.
“I could say the same to you.” He looked you up and down. “I see time has been kind to you all these years.” You rolled your eyes at him, shaking your head.
“Stop. Whatever you’re planning, just don’t.” You said exasperatedly. “It never works. Why do it to yourself?” His smirk dropped, a darker gaze falling onto his features, his eyes boring into your own.
“Because I have nothing else to live for.”
Of course, you were right. His plan was foiled, as the Doctor defeated him again. You had tried, time and time again to get through to the man, but every time you felt you got a bit closer, you were pushed back multiple steps.
You thought about all those times, as you were brought out of your mind by a familiar sound. The whirring of the TARDIS echoed through the building as you found yourself rushing towards it. You looked to see a swarm of UNIT soldiers aiming their guns at the box, whilst Ace & Tegan stood on the stairs, and Kate ahead, ready to face the crazed man when he stepped out with the Doctor. After what felt like a life time, the door finally opened, as the familiar face you had been thinking about appeared… The Master. He was quickly grabbed by two of UNITs men. He looked around, scanning the building, a grin breaking out onto his face.
“Put him in the bunker.” Kate spoke, ordering her men. “Constant monitoring, full security detail.” The two soldiers walked him, as they followed their boss’ words.
“Ooh, the bunker! That sounds nice! I love a bunker!” The Master smiled, looking around. “Anybody want to join me? Bunk-up in the bunker?” He smirked as you watched from the sidelines. He suddenly turned to Kate, pulling on the two armed men. “Your dad was an idiot.” He commented to Kate as she stayed straight faced, ignoring his quip. The two guards pulled him back, continuing to walk with him, as his head snapped back round, his eyes landing on the two former companions who stood above him. “Oh, Tegan Jovanka! How's your Auntie Vanessa? Do you keep her in a little doll's house?” He commented, as she glared down at him.
“I'm going to enjoy watching you locked up in a tiny cell.” Tegan narrowed her eyes at him as he raised a brow.
“That's right, you tell me. And Ace!” His attention turned to the other woman. “Or should I say Dorothy? Didn't the Doctor ditch you? No? Little fallout with your Machiavellian maestro?” He taunted.
“Last time I saw you, you were half cat.” Ace raised a brow, as he shrugged.
“A man’s allowed to experiment.” He retorted, before his gaze finally landed on you. You looked at him with a softer expression than the others, but kept your arms folded over your chest, showing you weren’t afraid and ready to stand your ground.
“And (Y/N) (L/N)…” He gave a half smile. “Still holding onto the Doctors beck and call I see.” You stayed silent. “No? Nothing to say?” He sighed. “Well that’s boring.” Truth was, what could you say that you hadn’t already tried before. “Still,-“ He paused. “-looking as young as ever.” He commented as you raised a brow, before Kate cut him off.
“Take him away.” She ordered as the men dragged him towards the elevator.
“Yes, yes, take me away! You'll all feel safer then with me in the building. You're not staying, Doctor?” He called from inside the lift. “You're not going to leave them alone, are you... while you go Dalek hunting?” The Doctor didn’t reply, as the doors began to close. “Whoo!” Was the last thing the Master said before the doors sealed, sending him down to below the building. You finally let out a breathe you didn’t know you were holding.
“(Y/N), Ace, Tegan, I need you to stay here and monitor the Master. We won't be long.” The Doctor told you three as she turned to head back into her ship, you found yourself zoning out, turning as you headed back into Kates office.
A few minutes later, Ace & Tegan entered the room, seeing you watching the security camera of the bunker on the screen, watching as the Master paced around his cell, occasionally staring up directly into the camera above him. It was like he knew you were watching.
“We can take turns watching.” Ace commented as you snapped your head towards the voice, not even registering them enter. “I really thought I’d seen the last of him.”
“Yeah, well, he has a habit of coming back when you least expect it.” You replied as the two woman came round to stand beside you.
“How’d you meet him?” Tegan asked as you sighed.
“Many years ago. When the Doctor was still a he. The Master came to Earth, became Prime Minister… He managed to slaughter thousands of people, take over, but the Doctor reversed time. None of it ever happened to you.” You told them.
“That sounds like The Master.” Ace shook her head slightly.
“Then I met him again, when he was a she. Missy. But she was different, like she had more of a softer side. In her own wicked way of course.” Both women turned to you in surprise at that remark. “And then this one. With a cyber army not long ago.”
“Wow… You really had a lot of run ins then.” Tegan said as you nodded.
“I would’ve even said we were friends…” You muttered lowly, causing both woman again to look surprised. “But that was long ago now.” The two woman shared a look.
“Is there…” Ace began, unsure how to ask. “History?” She raised a brow as you scoffed lightly, shaking your head.
“Not like that.” You sighed. “Well, not in a conventional sense I suppose. He’s the Master. He doesn’t do feelings.” You looked back at the screen, seeing him once again staring directly at the camera. Silence fell between you all for a moment before you began walking away. “If I’m not back in ten minutes, come and get me.” You called over your shoulder as the two woman furrowed their brows, watching as you left.
This was stupid. Again. You found yourself running to him. You knew it wasn’t healthy. You knew you couldn’t change his mind. Yet here you were, heading down to face the man for what felt like the hundredth time. To try and empathise with him.
Entering the bunker, you approached the room he was being kept in, seeing two guards stood at the door.
“I need to speak to him.” You told them both as they looked at you, unsure. “Ten minutes. Kates orders.” They sent each other a look before one nodded, as they turned to unlock the door. You send them a nod as thanks as you entered, the door slamming shut behind you. The Master had his back to you, as you slowly approached.
“It’s like you couldn’t stay away…” The Master quipped, slowly turning as he looked at you with a smirk. “And what do I owe this pleasure of your presence?” He gestured around cell with his tied hands. “I would offer you to come in but…” He trailed off as his eyes scanned the cell bars.
“So what’s it this time?” You asked, as you stepped closer, only a foot away from the bars that held him. “Take over the planet? The solar system? The universe? Take down the Doctor? Fail again?” You raised a brow as he laughed.
“Ever so perceptive.” He furrowed his brows. “Do you really think so little of me?” He took a few steps forwards.
“Can you blame me?” You folded your arms. “I mean, every time I’ve met you, you’ve tried to do one or all of those things. Your track record isn’t exactly varied.” He nodded, slightly shrugging.
“I’ll give you that.” He said. “But I could say the same to you.” He raised a brow, as he stood a right in front of the bars in front of you. “Still running to the Doctor every time she clicks her fingers.” He lifted his hands to snap his own fingers together, before breaking out into a manic grin. “It’s sweet really. Your loyalty. Your… What’s the word?” He pursed his lips. “Ah that’s it. Patheticness.” You rolled your eyes.
“I came down here to talk, not to be insulted.” You went to turn away but jumped at the sound of his hands hitting the bars.
“Do not turn away your back on me!” The Master exclaimed, as your head whipped back round to him, slight fear in your eyes as his expression looked dark. “You have no idea.” He said quieter. “No idea-“ He spat. “Don’t even try to pretend you do.” You swallowed the lump in your throat as you found yourself turning back to face him. “Remember what I said to you… All those years ago…”
“We could run away.” Missy shrugged, as you shook your head at her words. “No, I mean it. Imagine it. Me and you, on the open road of time and space.”
“You mean me watching you cause chaos?” You laughed lightly.
“If chaos was to follow us, then so be it.” She smirked as you found yourself smiling. “I always wondered what it would be like to be the Doctor… have a little pet-“
“I’m not a pet!” You exclaimed, as she gave you a ‘come on’ look. “I’m not!”
“Ok, ok, fine!” She said exasperated. “Companion.” She air quoted as you raised a brow.
“Why?” You wondered aloud. “I mean, you’ve always been a lone wolf right? What’s changed?” Her gaze softened slightly as she sat back in her seat, reaching her hands out as she began to play the piano that sat before her.
“I don’t know.” She said truthfully. “Maybe it’s age. Maybe it’s boredom. Doing the same thing, over and over and over.” She paused, focusing on her playing. “Maybe it’s you.”
“Of course.” You said quietly, almost breathless. “But that was then. Before you did what you did.” He sighed, leaning his head on the cold bars. He then pulled his gaze back to you, slowly holding a hand through the bars as you peered down at it.
“All you have to do is take my hand.” He said quietly. “Please-“ He tried as you blinked, peering down at his open palm, you found yourself subconsciously reaching out with your own, slowly going to do as he asked… Suddenly, an alarm blared throughout the building, jolting you away, as your head spun round to the metal doors, rushing over as you banged on them, trying to get a response, but nothing. You turned back to him.
“What have you done?” You asked, as the man before you smirked. “Master!” You exclaimed, storming towards him. He laughed as you looked concerned.
AN: This is total canon divergence. 13 didn’t regenerate and Yaz is still her companion (pls let me have this, I’m not ready to let go of them). Can be read as a stand alone story but goes better with my previous Master x Reader here.
MASTERLIST
You sat on the hexagonal steps of the TARDIS. The blues and reds of the lights mixing to create a beautiful purple hue. A light mist swept across your ankles, and a small smile spread across your lips as you watched the Master dance around the controls, even though you weren’t going anywhere exciting, he always piloted as if you were. It was one of the million reasons you loved him and the life he had gifted you.
“You don’t need to flatter me anymore dear,” The Master stopped and turned to you, “I’ve already agreed to your little trip idea.”
You blinked confused for a moment, before you remembered. He was bloody telepathic.
“Ugh Master, you promised not to do that.” You fake moaned, standing to join him at the centre console.
“Then don’t think so loud.” He booped the end of your nose, his tone only semi-chastising.
“Sorry, I can’t help it, I’m excited.” You started to buzz.
“Mmm I can tell pet.” He smirked turning back to the controls again. “All this for a silly little human play.”
“Opera.” You corrected. He stopped again, raising an eyebrow at your boldness. You knew that if anyone else had tried sass-back at him, they would be dead. With you however he found it adorably endearing.
“And besides it’s not just any opera,” You sauntered up to him, your eyes big,”It’s THE phantom of the Opera. The second longest running west end musical!”
“I know, you’ve told me before.” Annoyance started to creep into the Master’s voice. “Several times. In the past week alone. Hence why YOU’RE going.”
“And I am ssooooo, grateful for that,” You cuddled up to his arm, giving him your best puppy dog look. “Buuut, I thought it’d be nice if you came with me.”
You had tried for weeks to get the Master to agree to see Phantom with you. You’d gushed about the characters, the music, the set design, and how much you simply adored the show. When that didn’t work you’d talked about how the original book was inspired by true events, but that had just led to him suggesting you both go and drop the real chandelier at the Paris Opera house in 1896 instead. After a while you realised that asking the Master to sit silently in the exact same place for almost three hours was never going to fly, so you had acquiesced. Mostly.
“Pet…” The Master warned. “I told you,”
“I know, I know.” You sighed letting go of his dark blue tweed clothed arm in defeat. “I’m just playing. When the Master says no, he means it.” You turned to walk back to your seat on the steps but before you could the Master caught your face between one strong hand.
“Tsk, tsk.” He stared deep into your eyes. “Darling don’t you know it’s suicide to mock your Master.” Though his words sounded serious, the mischievous glint in his eyes told you there was no real maliciousness to them. One of the first things the Master had promised you was that he’d never intentionally hurt you, unless you asked him to.
“No mocking,” You said through puckered cheeks, “Just wanted to have a normal trip with you for once.” You admitted.
He chuckled to himself, before letting you go, and pulling on the TARDIS break, jutting you both forward in the sudden stop.
“What about the beach on Doulcabis?” He countered.
“Oh yeah that was nice and normal, until the planetary army started bombarding us.”
“How was I supposed to know the Queen mother still held a grudge against me.”
“You stole her crown jewels and threw them into a black hole!” You laughed, amazed at his declaration that that trip still counted as a normal one.
“Hence why I’m letting you go to that silly little play of yours.” He motioned to the door. Clearly you were at your destination. “Now say thank you Master.”
You sighed, you knew it was foolish to try and trick the Master of all people into a real human date. Hell you weren't even sure you were dating.
“Thank you Master.” You smiled, giving his cheek a quick peck. Something you were only permitted to do in the TARDIS. “I’ll see you in three hours.”
“Try to have fun with out me.” He challenged.
“Try not to commit any war crimes without me.” You laughed back.
“Spoil sport.”
You gave him one small wave before exiting through the TARDIS’s fake wooden doors.
“Keep him safe T.” You asked the time machine as you stoked the HA HA plaque on the front door. A quiet hum churned out of the wooden facade and for the first time since you met the Master you walked away from the machine alone.
The Master had dropped you off a short walk away from the theatre. The distance was nothing compared to how much you seemed to run on a daily basis, but without him by your side it seemed so much farther than it was, and so much more lonely.
“Three seconds without the Master and I’m a complete mess.” You bemoaned to yourself, grateful that the Master couldn’t hear you now, because he’d never let you hear the end of it.
“Y/N?” An old familiar voice called from behind you. Confused you turned to meet the gaze of an older gentleman. It took you a second before you remembered, he was with the Doctor on your failed trip to the SS.Fairfax. You hadn’t seen him or the Doctor since.
“Graham?” You asked unsure. “Or was it Ryan? I didn’t really catch your name.”
“Oh uh it’s Graham.” He smiled gently, the older woman next to him, in a pinstriped suit and combat boots however seemed cautious. “And this is Ace.”
“Hi.” You smiled politely. Unsure of where this was going. “Um, I don’t mean to sound rude, but I kind of have a thing I’m meant to be doing, soooo…”
“Did the Professor send you to do something?” Ace perked up.
“The who?”
“She means the Doctor.” Graham answered. “And no Ace she’s not here for the Doc, Y/N’s with someone else.” The older man gingerly danced around the truth of your Time Lord companion.
“Who else would she be with?” Ace awkwardly laughed, “Not a lot of Time Lords out there with companions.”
“Maybe some of them have changed.” You unintentionally sassed back. You didn’t mean to be rude it was just from the Master’s stories it seemed there were several former companions of the Doctor who had been on his kill list, and you figured they probably wouldn’t believe you if you said he’d changed for the better.
“Not bloody likely.” Ace scoffed. “So if you’re not with the Professor, who dropped you off?”
“Uhhhh.” You blanched. You did not want to get into it in the middle of a busy London street, but your brain seemed to have broken. “Sorry, I’ve really go to go. I’m going to be late.”
You started to back away, waving awkwardly as you did.
“It was nice to meet you Ace, and Graham, always a pleasure. Bye.” You practically sprinted down the street, faintly hearing Ace yell after you.
You turned the corner and into a small alleyway, stopping to catch your breath against a brick wall. Checking your phone you saw you had five minutes to reach the theatre and it was still a ten minute walk. Would the theatre let you in if you were five minutes late? You had gotten so used to the Master demanding your entrance to places and getting in, even when you weren't invited. You really were spoiled by the Master weren’t you.
Sighing you composed yourself as best you could, you couldn’t deny that the encounter with former Doctor companions had knocked the wind out of your sails a bit. You loved the Master, you really did, but you sometimes wished his name didn’t evoke hatred and/or fear from everyone who heard it.
A part of you wanted to call the Master, have him come pick you up and never suggest normal trips ever again, but after the stink you’d kicked up to go see this opera, you’d feel bad about cancelling.
“Urgh, big girl time Y/N” You hyped yourself up, “We are a grown ass adult, we are not co-dependant!” You announced to yourself, only believing it a little. Straighting up you turned to head back out to the street, however a less than impressed Ace blocked the narrow entrance.
“I know whose TARDIS that was.”
“I’m sorry Y/N,” Graham emerged from behind the older woman, “But this is for your own good.”
“Fuck.”
*****
The Master’s knee bounced impatiently as he sat in the uncomfortable chair the humans had installed in their opera box. He was losing patience with this whole farce and he’d been here for only two minutes.
“Height of luxury ha!” He laughed aloud, looking back at the TARDIS he’d landed in the far corner of the box he’d secured for his Y/N. The only reason he saw fit to degrade himself and wait in this theatre was the surprised look on his darling pets face when she walked in and saw him waiting for her.
He imagined her eyes glittering and her perfect smile bursting across her face. She would become putty in his very capable hands, and he would prove again how he was the better Time-Lord and companion.
‘The Doctor could never make her as happy as I do.’ He thought possessively to himself. Y/N had told him several times that there was no competition between himself and the Doctor. That he didn’t need to be so hard on himself. She didn’t want the Doctor she wanted to be with him, yada yada, and yes he believed her, she couldn’t lie to him, no-one could, but still there was that horrid tiny voice in the back of his mind that told him he wasn’t good enough. Not for the Doctor and definitely not for Y/N, and he never would be.
“Where is she.” He growled, his jittering leg becoming more restless by the second. “She should be here by now, praising my kindness, shooing my dark thoughts away.” He scratched painfully into his palm, a terrible self soothing action he thought he’d outgrown.
Dark thoughts started swirling dangerously around his mind. What if she’d left? What if she’d run away? But she promised forever. She lied. She hated you. She was afraid of you and ran way the first chance she got. This whole playthinghadbeenAndExcusetoEscAPEYOU!!!
“Shut Up!” He slammed his fists against his head, if he couldn’t will the thoughts away he’d beat them out of himself.
A deep sound rang out from the TARDIS, pulling the Master out of his self-hate spiral, curious he entered the machine.
“What?!” He yelled. Another deep sound was the reply, soon the monitor lit up, showing CCTV of a boring London street. “Get to the point.” He chastised. The video sped up, showing a panicked looking Y/N hurry down a alley way, before being followed by two others.
“Y/N.” His brown doe eyes widened in horror as the video sped up again. Showing armed men enter the alley, before exciting with a clearly unconscious Y/N, and the two who had initially followed his beloved human.
“Dorothy and Graham.” His voice was laced with venom as he watched the Doctors former companions. “What am I going to do with you?”

You folded your arms and leant against the door to the Master’s office and you watched him intently. You had been there for five minutes and the Master hadn’t looked up from his work. Whatever he was working on was clearly more interesting than you which irritated you immensely. A smirk formed on your face as a plan formed in your mind.
Slowly you walked over to the Master. He glanced up at you briefly because looking back down at the papers. You had to force yourself to remain calm and not rip the papers away from him and tear them into a million pieces. Instead you made your way around the back and wrapped your arms around him, resting your chin on his shoulder.
“Busy?” you asked
“Very.” He replied curtly
“Involving the Doctor?”
“Why would I waste my time with him?”
“All of your time recently seems to be devoted to him.”
“Jealous, love?”
“Jealous? Me? Of course not. Just bored.”
“Bored,” the Master sounded amused but didn’t look up, “We’re in a time machine. You know how to drive. Go,” he waved a hand, “Have fun.”
“Will you come?”
“Busy.”
“Then it’ll be no fun.”
The Master grunted in acknowledgement and your hands snaked around his body. You pressed your chest further against his back and snuck your hands under his shirt. You felt the Master tense up but still he didn’t pay you any attention.
“Maybe I’ll go to the 1920s,” you said absentmindedly, “Go to a party. That’ll be fun.”
You leant over him and read some of the papers on his desk. You pressed your hands against him and could faintly feel the thump of his heartbeats. You could’ve sworn you felt them pick up pace slightly and you gently racked your nails down his chest. The Master shuddered and you put your hands on his shoulders.
“You’re so tense,” you said, “I think you’re the one who needs some fun.”
“Anything you have in mind?”
The Master leant back in his chair and shut his eyes and you rubbed circles against his shoulders. He let out a soft moan and reached up to underdo the top button of his shirt. You pressed your hands further against his shoulders and he rested his head against your arm.
“You do know how to treat me right,” he said, “My dear little human.”
“I know.”
You leant down and pressed a kiss against his shoulder.
“But like you said, I should go out and have fun.”
You pulled away and the Master let out a frustrated groan. You grinned down at him and spun around on your heel. If the Master was going to ignore you then you weren’t going to give him what he wanted. You had only walked a couple of steps when the Master reached out a grabbed your wrist. You yelped as he pulled you back and pressed you roughly against the desk.
“You got my attention,” the Master said as he grazed his lips against yours, “So what are you going to do with it now?”
Summary: sort of fluffy simm!master x reader using the prompts "you cant just kill everyone" and "but he insulted your dress" where the reader has the same attitude of Donna??
