But if he’s here, then it’s likely they’re after the same thing, and that wouldn’t do for her at all. She shot a text to her second to do all the possible research on Nate and his band of misfit toys – find the weaknesses, find the cracks. She would rather not take them head-on, but if it comes to that, she refused to be unprepared. It didn’t take long for pictures of the rest of his crew to come in, and after a quick glance around, she was sure Nate was alone – for now, at least. She had no less than five people on the inside, two more outside, just in case. From what she knew, a man like Nate wouldn’t go into a game like this without backup.

She kept herself small, discreet, just another awed face at all the technology on display. She considered for a half-second that the hacker of his team should have been sent in, then shot down the idea immediately. Someone like Alec Hardison would’ve been much too easily distracted by the nuances of this tech, would much too easily forget the reasons why he’s there. Nate may not stick out, but he doesn’t quite blend in if one knows what to look for. Chevalier’s been in the game much too long for Nate to slip past her unnoticed.
