Meeting a Master!

Keisuke had gone to Sector 6 in the early morning. One of the parks, he thought, would provide the best location for his weekly training regiment. A part of him wondered why he bothered. His cybernetics didn’t need the work out. He wasn’t sure what part of his original body remained that might need the exercise or if it was needed at all. Sill, it made him feel a tad more human. As always, he started with a run. He had to cut swimming from the routine for now. He found public pools, but he didn’t know how best to approach those and he’d yet to find any body of water. He also cut the training that required him to transform. So, instead, he began going through the karate forms he’d known since childhood. He would have preferred a partner, yes, but that was for another day.
He stopped not long into the practice as he noticed another person—a bear, really—nearby. A person? Yes. Human? Definitely not. If Keisuke wasn’t a kaizorg and Rider, he might have also been intimidated by the bear’s presence.
Keisuke let out a breath. He was slowly--oh so slowly--learning to set aside his past experiences with non-humans. If he was learning anything from the city in his first month, it was that appearances meant nothing. The Rider as he halted his training. What better way to get himself to set aside his preconceived notions than by talking to one of the many inhuman citizens? He was rather curious about the bear.
He approached the bear and bowed low, angling his body to give the proper amount of respect. “Good morning,” he said, once righting himself. “Please forgive me for any intrusion. My name is Jin Keisuke. I’m still rather new to the city and I know few people. May I ask your name?”
