Feeling that #swimworkout this afternoon. It’s always tough getting back in the water after a break and I still didn’t back off today’s plan of broken 300s - 3 x 100, 4 x 75, 6 x 50. In a few weeks I’ll be able handle more volume but today that was definitely enough. My lungs were burning in those last couple of 50s. I’m optimistic that I’ve finally put this calf issue behind me, but will continue building up fitness very slowly and doing a lot of #crosstraining to fill in for running miles. Good news is the surgically repaired quad from last summer is feeling good and the residual swelling from the procedure is almost gone. And that’s a big win. Next week I’ll give some light running a test. Not sure if I’ll be ready for #summerracingseason #masterstrackseason but it’s more important I recover right.
