Feather-light kisses fueled by this shallow pain, Heart won’t stop throbbing from being torn against the grain.
You’re hurting me, it’s plain enough for anyone to see, All those little pieces you keep tearing off of me.
Bundled up like the laundry at the foot of my bed, Your laugh, your hair, your smile, it’s all so clear in my head.
It’s the first thing I’ve truly wanted in so long, So why is it every time I try to do something right, it comes out all wrong?
Take me as I am, if you can’t, I can understand, But don’t you lie to me, kiss my cheek, or hold my hand.
You’ve taken my heart only when it’s convenient to you? Do you have any idea of the things, together, we could do?
I’m hurting so bad that my words fall as flat as the ink on this page, I want to skip these trivial steps, take everything to a different stage.
One where I’m not out beneath the spotlight alone One where my soliloquies aren’t spoken in monotone.
I wish to share with you, the tragedy of my heart in three parts; My mother, her passing- she was the first, that’s where it all starts.
Got that, now? Because this is where you relate to the hero, Follow him as he gives up absolutely everything for someone he loved, just to be left with zero.
You’ll come to find now, that the end of this script is unwritten, The author had passed on the pen to you, to prove just how thoroughly he’s been smitten.
So what will you do? Lay nib to paper and create art? Or just another downfall, and bring it all back to the start…?
