Sorry you can't see much here:) . A little before Leo came out the lead Choi Ji Yeon came out on the arm of a helper, hobbling. Leo in Matahari: first of all, it feels great to see him in a live performance that isn't a hyped concert. Also the fact that he is acting a role rather than entertaining or performing makes the experience different too. Secondly, both his speaking and singing voice on the stage tonight were different. Still light and high, but with a slightly husky tone. There were moments i had the chills, a combination of watching him and feeling the effects of the staging and drama. The music was beautiful, the sound design and production rich and wondrous and the production design for stage, lighting and wardrobe was staggeringly breathtaking. My non-starlight companion who also has theatre experience like me, was struck by the production experience, as a world class stage should have as its effect. . Am still convinced the musical stage provides the best medium for Taekwoon's vocal and personal expression. He seems both confident and very green at the same time, perhaps because it still feels like Taekwoon onstage rather than Armand. Perhaps that was my impression, perhaps it was his signature stance that i felt he kept slipping into. HOWEVER, the man is HOT and charismatic and i don't know how he comes off looking like a 15 year old . I just wish him all the very best and hope he continues on doing more musicals so more starlight can see him do it . @emk_musical why isn't there a 2016 cast recording of monte cristo?
