           When Yuuto and Dimitri had set out across space and time, they had only intended to be gone for a few days. They were bringing those foreign to that world home, which required the pair of Palkia boys to team up. However, the two inexperienced travelers had made a miscalculation... Instead of returning two days later, they returned two years later.

           They were going to have a lot of explaining to do.

           Immediately after arriving, Yuuto and Dimitri had split ways. Yuuto went to appease their mother, who was no doubt a hysterical mess, while Dimitri went off in search of Lydia. Still thinking he had only been gone a few days, Dimitri decided to stop by a flower shop to pick up a casual gift for Lydia. He didn’t realize just how much apologizing and repenting he owed her until, as he paid for the flowers, he saw a newspaper.

        “... Oh. My.” He breathed out lightly, “I believe I may have fucked up.”

Barnaby hated Fridays. He’s hated Fridays since he was given to Kaira, but he especially hates them now. Those damned lab coats decided he wasn’t good enough yet. That they could do better with him. Not an unusual decision for them, but this time was awful. It had been years since he’s had to deal with the pain of a bad round of whatever they put in his system when they get in one of their moods. He had started feeling the adverse effects before he even left the lab, but saying something to the scientists didn’t help. They didn’t want to risk giving him something for the side effect, and having that tamper the results. So they sent him off with Kaira, and told her to keep an eye on him, and let them know of any change. He barely made it to the bed before he collapsed, too weak to hold himself up. “Shiiiiit,”He huffed out. He was sweating, and couldn’t catch his breath. His body felt like it was on fire from the pain. “K-Ha-handler...”He couldn’t tell if they were alone. He didn’t even know if Kaira was the one who helped him to his room or not. Hopefully, this was his room anyway. He forced open his eyes, to look around, trying to find the familiar red head.

A Good day for a Fall Fair

There were streamers in all the fall colors but especially Black and Orange. The smells of cotton candy, candy apples, roasting corn, and barbecue was mixing with the crisp cool air and the smell of crunchy leaves. 

There were kids running around with their families, Gijinka as well as Human. Some in costume and other’s not. There was music playing, from a live band as well as from rolling across the field from the Ferris wheel and other rides. There was laughter, friendly battles, prizes being won, produce judging, and knick-knacks and wares being sold. It was a good day.  

Outside of the kids game section, firmly plunked on a bench under a tree was probably one of the biggest men on life. Trying to get a nap in among all this fun and fanfair. The grey haired and scarred mountain known as Draco. Sitting there with his arms crossed and his head leaned forward. He wasn’t taking up the entire bench, but no one was going to sit down next to him either. People just figured it would be best not to bother an old sleeping dragon.

He’d originally come to the fair to try and get to know Balia’s mate. But had decided to wait there for the group that had gone into the kids section to maybe collect himself for a while since he wasn’t used to being around so many people.

Two figures floated into Lily’s studio, one cloaked, and the other surprisingly not.  The one not wearing a ratty cloak oddly resembled Esaias, but without the eerie glow to his eyes, just a dark, honeyed amber.  His hair was less well kept, and he wore the beads as almost a sort of afterthought rather than a meticulous decoration.  His ears were slightly more pointed, but it was just barely noticeable.  But, aside from that, the same olive skin, same blond hair, same earring.  The cloaked figure removed his hood to reveal an almost identical twin to the other.

“Sorry I’m late.  Celia was being... difficult, so I had to bring one of my Pokémon with me.”  Esaias rarely ventured out on his own.  It was much easier to bring Erebus and give some semblance that he wasn’t an easy target.

         It had been saddening to see Lydia drift away over the years. Saddening, but understandable. Mikale had noticed her visits become less and less frequent as the months without Dimitri ticked by. He, too, had tried to drift away from that part of his life. So it was nice to have them both drift back into his life again. 

         But that didn’t mean that he knew how to interact with Lydia. Heck. Mikale had never known how to interact with her. So when she came by the cafe, he was unsure of how to greet her best.

      “Good afternoon, Lydia. Do you need something?” He paused the task of wiping a cafe table, folded the cleaning cloth so as to focus entirely on his blonde visitor. “I’m afraid that if you’re looking for Dimitri, his part-time shift already ended. He said he was going to take Miami to stretch her wings.”

     The Battle Frontier was a hub for trainers of all kinds!  After the grand opening, it wasn’t exclusive only to those who had surpassed the elite four.  Noland didn’t mind this though!  After all, his facility was based on the knowledge that a person had on a Pokemon!  Even he used the rental Pokemon, so...  Seeing that all trainers were on equal grounds and that they could borrow Pokemon, his facility always seemed to be one of the more popular ones.  That didn’t mean that he got to battle many trainers though!  Lots of the time, they couldn’t even reach him, which gave him lots of time to fiddle around with whatever behind the scenes, or even watch trainers battle each other!

      The thing was, it was getting late so the facility was getting ready to close for the night.  Once the doors were closed, Noland stepped on out and began to casually wander about as he was wont to do.  As he didn’t he couldn’t help but notice a lone trainer over by one of the beds of flowers.

     “Hey, hey!  It’s pretty late!  Shouldn’t you be heading home?”

This was actually Ares’ first time ever in this Region. He had refused to come here until Absol were allowed in, because there was no way he was leaving his friend behind. 

That, and well... there were no Mega Stones, or Mega Evolving allowed in the Galar League, so he kinda had no reason to come here. However, after learning about Dynamaxing, he was insanely curious, and wanted to check it out for himself. So, the moment Absol was allowed in, he made plans for him and Ba’ul to visit. 

Stepping into the Wild Area for the first time was a treat. Seeing such a large expanse of uninhabited land reminded him of home and made him slightly homesick... but not enough to turn back of course. 

Naturally though, it was Ba’ul who noticed that they were not alone in the Wild Area. The Absol was immediately distracted when he saw a stranger, and without hesitation, he started towards them. Ares sadly, didn’t notice until Ba’ul was three-quarters of the way towards the others. 

“Ack! Ba’ul!“ He called after his friend, before he jogged over towards them. 

“Sorry! He’s not challenging you, I swear! He’s just friendly!“ He had the feeling he was going to be repeating that a lot until he had a Pokemon he could battle with. It’s not that Ba’ul was weak, Ares just knew that he was a lover and not a fighter.
