Math Ask 8 and 70!
8: my all-time least favorite notation is anything Riemannian geometry where all the indices are written explicitly with maximum useless symbols usage. Think Do Carmo. it makes my eyes glaze over and every line feels like playing spot the difference with tiny i's and j's. second place is this one paper with a certain exact sequences in which the author has helpfully labeled the quotient group K. won't name names but I do otherwise like the paper, and it only made me fling it across the room in frustration twice :)
70: it depends on the paradox... I don't like the ones that hinge on misunderstandings or on improperly defined concepts, but I do love a counterintuitive statement, like downward skolem and corollaries!
