IN-PERSON CLASSES ARE CANCELLED - ONLINE COURSES STARTING FROM MARCH 14th 2020!
Dear All,
As a precautionary measure to ensure the health and safety of Matrix Collège Community, all persons in the education and higher education networks, and the population, the government has decided to close all establishments of different levels of education in Quebec.
Matrix Collège will be closed from 14th to 27th March 2020. The reopening of all establishments will be determined according to the evolution of the situation which is followed closely.
From now on, if a member of the Staff, Teachers, Students of Matrix College returns from a stay outside Canada, you must take the necessary measures to comply with a period of isolation of 14 days, as prescribed by Public Health.
Compulsory isolation does not therefore cover people who have traveled in the past few days, in particular during the break week which ended on March 8th. However, these people must closely monitor their symptoms during the 14 days following their return to Quebec. In case of symptoms, they should isolate themselves immediately and contact 1-877-644-4545.
This preventive measure is based on the assessment made by the National of Public Health of the progression of the COVlD-19 pandemic. Indeed, it has been shown that the virus is present in Quebec and that it can be actively spread.
The change in the College calendar could raise concerns. We would like to remind you that Matrix College have always been able to adapt to various exceptional situations. Matrix College have confidence that we will be able to meet this new challenge together. Matrix College will put in place the measures and means to ensure all the necessary support Student's needs by providing alternative training methods and administrative services.
All students, teachers and staff need to be registered on Skype platform and check their Omnivox Account on daily basis. We maintain class times, during class time more assignments and quizzes will be done, exams will not be differed. Assignments, Projects, open book exams will replace the exams. Professional Integration Projects are maintained and Skype supervision will be implemented.
Please note Academic, Finance and Registrar Departments will send you a MIO to inform you of the implementation of the virtual processes to ensure smooth and efficient management of the College.
