This will be our final event bringing all the elements of our residency at thepenthousenq since November 2013 together. Event starts at 7pm-10pm. Performances 7.30 and 9.15pm. Please get down for 7 for the installation before our interactions.
We've learned so much during our time at The Penthouse, we've worked on film, installation, our sound sources, effects we use and recording techniques and how our sound interacts with our visual interests. There are so many things that we've learned that are not yet even recognised or verbalised easily (if at all). Collaborations with artists during our time have been so valuable and inspiring, and just being at The Penthouse. It feels free and alive for us and we want to continue down all these winding paths to see where we go on the way. Thanks to Genius of Germs (Karl Whiting) for being so instrumental (literally) in getting Jay (Bratan) and Ashley (Genius of Germs) to play with us, very happy with those sounds! Rosanne Robertson, Gary Fisher and Matt Dalby were amazing to work with, we feel we've pushed ourselves in ways we wouldn't do alone. Great dynamics and future works are, we're sure, in the making.
