“This coffee...” he grumbled around the rim of the cup, not enjoying the bitter taste but needing to wake the fuck up. He had a late night in the lab and a headache had been lingering for a few days now in refusal to give him a break. He knew why he was having one. That his fingers trembled just enough to tease him into wanting things to stop the racing feeling always enabled in his body. Dmitri wanted the world to crash to a stop, and yet he was here in the break room in the morning grading papers while some woman whines in the corner about her children not napping.
He rolled his eyes. “Good morning,” he lifted his eyes to Minerva, “well, as good as it’s going to get. What are you doing here so early?”
