Max was still reeling some from the whole tentacle disaster, and he definitely wanted to drink the sight away, but he remembered what Hunter said, about drinking with them, so here they were, standing outside Hunter’s place with a bag of booze and potato chips. He knocked on the door after a pause to sigh.

“Hey! Cyg! . . . if you saw me at the Scorpio the other night . . . no you didn’t,” Max said, leaning against the piano as he looked up at Cygnus on the stage above them. They gave him a pointed look. “And I didn’t see you doing lines of O there either. So . . . we good?”

“I’m a million bucks, baby,” Max said with a grin, reaching up to squeeze Paxton’s face with one hand before patting his cheek. “I’ve got so much drugs and alcohol in my system right now. I’m riding out this horror town until I either get cracked open like a nut or die of alcohol poisoning. Whichever comes first.” He laughed.

"Hey man, I was thinking about how we could get your channel up and running again," Max said with a grin as they ran to catch up with Hunter. "I have a smartphone we can use to record shit, and with the system they got here we can just upload videos directly to people's email! What do you think? Max’s eyes had to be playing tricks on them. There was no way they just saw a chipmunk peek its head out of that kid’s sleeve. Wait, where the fuck was the kid’s hand? What the hell was going on here?
