MAY ISLAND is a Korean brand that creates its products made from carefully selected natural ingredients. Their Real Essence Mask Pack comes in many different types including this one, aloe (soothing, moisture), potato (skin protecting, soothing; review), tomato (brightening; review) and many others. This mask is designed to boost moisture level and soothe the skin. Key ingredients include: 100ppm of aloe leaf extract (anti-aging, moisturizing, lightens blemishes and reduces acne, healing, reduces scarring), chamomile flower extract (anti-acne, nourishing, moisturizing, removes and soothes blemishes, hydrating), witch hazel extract (promotes faster skin healing, soothing, refreshing) and witch hazel extract (promotes faster skin healing, soothing, refreshing). This mask contains 25 ml (0.84 oz) and has a nice natural aloe scent.

The mask itself is kind of thick cotton saturated with essence.

Recommended use is after cleansing, prepare the skin with toner. Unfold and place the mask on the face, avoiding the eye and lip areas. After 10-20 minutes, remove the mask and gently pat it in for better absorption. After using, I didn't mind this mask despite it being a little thick, but I did notice that it really irritated my undereye area quite a lot and because it was heavy it was starting to slip so I didn't leave the mask on for very long. The ingredient list is pretty short and there are some irritants but I found after removing the mask that my skin was soft and smooth and it toned the redness. It has a pretty noticeable aloe scent and it might irritate sensitive skin types. I'd recommend this to people with dry and dehydrated skin.

What I like: this mask is moisturizing and soothing and does a good job of toning down redness. It has lots of essence and there's a nice scent to it. The mask's shape isn't bad so it's easy to adhere to the face. What I don't like: the material is a little too thick and it really irritated my undereye area. There's also a fragrance that people might want to avoid.

So onto the description, this mask comes with a cleanser, ampoule and then the mask. To start with, the cleanser is a basic foam cleanser and contains 2 ml (0.06 oz), it has a very citrusy scent and bubbles up a lot. The ampoule is a clear silky gel type formula and doesn't have much of a scent. There is 2 ml (0.06 oz) and it is meant to be used before applying the mask, but I chose to apply it after. And finally, the sheet mask, the material is very similar to the silk material that the Taiwanese brand ANNIE's WAY uses, it clings to the skin like a second skin and all the holes are a comfortable size. It has a slightly sweet but also basic kind of scent. 

There is 25 ml (0.84 oz) of essence and the there is lots of essence which is very sticky. Recommended use is first the cleanser, the ampoule and then the sheet mask, recommended wear time is 15-20 minutes and it takes over an hour to dry completely. After using, the first thing I noticed was how bright my skin was and how much my skin was glowing. The mask itself is comfortable and stayed on my face perfectly. My skin looked and felt so moisturized and nourished and my skin just looked great, definitely my favorite of all the 2 and 3-step masks. The cleanser was nice and smelled good, only downside is that it left my skin with that kind of squeaky feeling. The ampoule was very silky and left my skin looking and feeling hydrated, it really helped my skin to have an even stronger glow.

What I like: this mask is just so moisturizing and nourishing! I loved the radiant glow it left me and just how healthy my skin looked an felt. I don't usually find silk masks in Korean brands but this was a very nice silk mask, very high quality. The ampoule was also great and had a very lovely silky texture and really worked well on my skin and added more hydration. The ingredients are also wonderful and even though this mask is a little higher in price, it's totally worth the cost, especially for people with dry skin. What I don't like: I didn't hate it, but the cleanser I probably could've done without. The scent was great but it did feel like it was cleansing too much and I didn't like the squeaky feeling it left on my face. The scent was the only plus for me. Also, I could not find ingredient lists for the cleanser or ampoule so that's annoying lol.

To go with the Baviphat peach peeling gel in my Beauteque BB bag, I also received this May Island Peach Hand Cream. It has a soft, natural peach scent, probably because it actually contains peach extract, apricot extract, and shea butter to help smooth your skin.

The peach scent is so mild that you really can’t smell it until it’s rubbed into your skin, which I find interesting, and it doesn’t overwhelm at all. This cream had a nice viscosity to it and absorbed quickly into my skin, leaving it soft and moisturized. Nice!
