Redraw of some doodles I did wayyyyyy back and then never posted. Many such cases
[Image ID: Several colored sketches of human versions of TFP characters. The biggest doodle on the page features a human version of Ratchet, drawn as a 50-something year old white man with pale, lightly freckled skin and various scars, including a big one on his chest, and teal eyes, along with sideburns and a goatee. He's holding a tea mug in one hand, and gesturing with the other. The dark spots under his eyes are larger than normal, and he looks tired. His ginger and white hair is messy. His tea mug reads "world's okayest grandpa". His outfit consists of blue trousers and a loose ABBA-shirt. His speech bubble reads "Yes I do look like shit, I'm so glad you noticed. Now can we please circle back to the fact that it's 4am and your elbow is broken." The doodle on the top right of the page is the same design of him from the shoulders up, smiling with his eyes closed, and with an outfit that consists of a red and white zip-up and jacket. His hair is no longer as messy. The text next to the drawing reads "I realized I have a hard time drawing this version of him happy." The last doodle, placed on the bottom of the page, shows him and the human version of Optimus, drawn as a middle eastern man with light brown skin, also aged 50-something. His hair is long, tied into a ponytail and black and gray in color. He also has stubble and various scars, including plague scars on his right temple. He is wearing a black turtleneck. They are taking a nap together, pictured from the shoulders and up. Optimus has his arms loosely around Ratchet's shoulders, both fast asleep. Ratchet is wearing a white zip-up with a red lining. /End ID]
My evidence that Tommy/bucktommy is coming back in 9x05/06 . . . not a goddamn thing. But I've decided to blindly assume it will happen just because. And if it doesn't, I will assume it's been planned for 9b, and if it still doesn't happen I'll assume it's been pushed to 10a, and if it still doesn't happen I'll assume we'll see him in 10b, and if it still doesn't happen I'll assume we'll see him in 11a, and if he doesn't show up I'll pin all my hopes on 11b, and if he doesn't show up but I see so much as a single helicopter flying overhead I will take that as foreshadowing for his return in 12a, and if that doesn't happen my hope will wane for a minute--but then I'll realize that saving it until 12b is actaully a much smarter writing choice, that way there's time to lay groundwork. And in fact, with so much going on per episode, it might make even more sense to postpone bucktommy's return until 13a . . . . but if it hasn't happened by the end of 13b? Well, then I'll start to feel a little foolish.
ok last thought but we really only have maybe 5 or 6 chapters left which is crazy 😮💨
ive watched 10 seasons of xfiles and two movies and at this point im only still going to see if dana scully will finally have a single good day. ive got one more season to see if itll finally happen. ive got my fingers crossed.

You know I could join in the chat about When It Rains, It Pours (I won't, you guys have fun 😅) but kinda want to talk about what is happening with Heart Stain.
I'm fascinated with this show, but not for the right reasons: it's a series displaced in time. Had this show come out in 2022 it would have made waves, become the season's sensation, the protagonists the new it boys of dramaland. But it didn't, it came in an era where korean BL have already evolved to the point of no return; you can't go back when shows like To My Star, The Eighth Sense and Love in the Big City have paved the way for greater entries in the genre.
High-school setting? Light On Me raised the bar way back when.
I also believe the first couple of episodes cemented this series' fate. I was close to dropping it after the first two, which had horrible editing, weird sound issues, wooden acting, and uninteresting direction. But the pace picked up from the third episode onward (at least as far as the technical side of things go — the acting was questionable the whole time).
Hardly anyone is talking about it — even on Xwitter where anything finds an audience the engagement is low, by KBL standards it's abysmal.
There are hints of greatness in it, a certain air of melancholy so characteristic to korean BL shows. In this latest outing, heartbreak happened and the possibility of a time jump appeared and if this show has the guts to pull it of they might actually have something special here. Since day one Doha's character seemed destined to face tragedy, in love with his best friend who in turn is in love with their teacher, he reads as a character that is willingly to fight a battle that is already lost, until there is no fight left in him that is, there is also the added bonus that Doha is portrayed by BXB's Hamin and he is easily the best actor in the whole cast.
Honestly, it's hard to say if it'll find an audience once it's done, it definitely didn't help that IQIYI got it on most international markets, being swamped by a constant influx of other korean shows without proper marketing from the platform — and considering that they don't advertise their own BL show FC Soldout I hardly expect them to do better with Heart Stain.
All in all it's a pretty mellow show, with a few drops of something special sprinkled through-out, and as a stand-alone endeavor is mostly fine, but it crumbles the moment comparisons are made.
new mane six just dropped
