So, a friend of mine just finished playing Before The Storm, and it got me thinking to when the game first came out. I specifically remember a very small subset of people saying that giving Rachel a face and character "ruined the mysticism" of her character in the first Life Is Strange.

But isn't that tragic? Isn't it tragic that a person got watered down to a myth? A legend? A rumor... Before The Storm made Rachel a person, and a lot of people got uncomfortable with that.

Because now Rachel isn't just a name said throughout the story. She isn't just a placeholder. She's a person.

But an indistinguishable corpse is easily looked past when you don't have a face to put it to.

A faceless victim is a lot more digestible than seeing a *person* buried in the dirt.

That's why people were getting upset. Because the curtain was lifted, and what was left was something very, extremely real.

and while yes the hair pulling was hot,, the situation as a whole very much was not. so please don't ask me 'ohh can you write a fic where it's like Beate and him?' just use the hair pulling as an example or something else,, cause i'm not replicating her genuine hatred and fear for him with an x reader fic 🤠

I have very bad anxiety

I know for a fact I've been stalked on here by someone I want no contact with, and my anxiety is making me suspicious of followers with no avatar, and just in general.

I'm actually still so annoyed that I received Tumblr notifications about a blocked user reblogging my reblogs. That shouldn't happen, but also it feels so invasive knowing someone is block evading just to doom scroll my blog (for nearly 2 hrs I was getting notifications, mind you)

I already reached out to support, but there's nothing that'll put my mind at ease. It's one thing to just say "oh they're probably stalking me lol" without proof. But to see it first hand is...I don't even have the words for it. Shit is fucking weird.

I block and move on because I want to be left alone. I hate when my boundaries are violated. Makes my safe spaces feel unsafe.

I'm tired.

No he didn't. He let go because he wanted to die.

It wasn't fake, it was a fail. A failed s*icide attempt.

And it hurts everytime i see someone call it a fake death, i know it's a movie, but as someone who has survived an attempt, it makes me feel as if i also faked it.

I get y'all thinking it's a joke because he faked his death in dark world, but it isn't a joke to me. Or several of my friends. And i imagine a lot of other fans don't like this joke either.

So please stop.
