history phd!reader is busy beyond reason. with spring deadlines approaching, friends asking for vacation dates, and a dissertation to write up, there is no time for pause or rest. the sheer amount of caffeine running through her veins could knock out a horse, not to mention the lack of proper sleep in the past weeks.
so when she comes down with a hacking cough and can’t get out of bed, no one is surprised. what is surprising, though, is when her roommate forces her to the ptmc, and an old classmate from undergrad opens the curtain of her er room.
with finals coming up and deadlines, i figured this might be a welcome distraction for all of our end-of-semester stresses. i also wanted to write a dr x dr fic for langdon with someone in the humanities to scratch and itch.
