In this… "Rebellion" one meets a lot of interesting souls. Some who are noble and others that are less so; more often one meets a common soul. One dragged into this strange and overwhelming fight.
Unable to let go.
Inable to stay dead.
Daises, shift in number. Weapons, four in number. A bow, a sword, a pair of daggers, and a staff. Each unique but in the end serve the same purpose. I favor a bow. I favor high ground. I favor high numbers. I favor speed. The bow balances these well.
It was an easy pick. As I feel like I've seen all this before.
Then though the gate.
Where I can learn just how strong I've remained.

Everything is familiar. I have memories of doing this all before; the shift of the bow string, the weight of the air, and the sound of souls. I've been in this fight before, but the strange way everything shifted has me on edge. There's unfamiliar souls and Beatrice acts like I'm new. Virgil acts like I'm new.
My bow relaxes when I let the arrow fly. I shift my position the moment it did. I had manage to snag a good spot to shoot from. A broken pillar. Justice helped me figure out how to get up these things.
Speaking of my yellow clad friend... I have been keeping my distance as of late, seeing how they'd handle crowds and leadership on their own. The swordman was very capable and drawn to helping others, even at the risk of their own sanity and life.
I still keep an eye out for Justice, just from up here.
In fact... I've already spotted them and was keeping a close eye on them. They had seemed somewhat off as the entered Inferno but then settled into their usual patterns. They split off of a group, and angle towards... a lone daggers wielder. Stuck in a group of Arciere. I don't draw my bow. Don't need too.
Justice handled it just fine.
I thought that would be the end of that. Justice saves others all the time. But I found them hanging around this same one again and again and again. Their body language seemed more energetic when near this... greedy soul.
From my vantage point. I see every sneaky, greedy action. This soul has such a greed and they feed it. Every time they try to abandon Justice it sparks a small flame of irritation in me.

But with Justice having a new friend, I am free to explore on my own and visit Purgatorio more often. The enemies there have attack patterns I'm curious about. So I let them do their thing.
Purgatorio has this... difficulty spike that makes it so much more of a fun challenge. The enemies all have this... fallen holiness about them and are fun to watch move. My biggest struggle was finding myself a good perch to shoot from, I'm thankful that these enemies are focused on my allies below.
I fight Adam and Eve a handful of times. Each time with less and less people. With less and less success. Those coming to Puratorio have no direction, which makes for poor hunting.
Which reminds me why I often hung around Justice in the first place.
I stick to hunting on my own for a while, before the constant failures began to bug me more then my apparent need for control with a side of a lack of responsability. There's such a disorganization to this rebellion.
And someone starts outshooting me.
A simple caped soul. With aim so instinct based it almost hurts me. So I ignore it and avoid them whenever possible. I say I ignore it, but I can't. I watch them.
The way they twist through the fight, arrows spinning around them in a constant dance... they must have that auto recall upgrade. I couldn't figure out what their other upgrade. I make sure I go through to whichever realm they go to. Trying to figure out how this soul operates and handles things.

One of the Inferno runs, I follow the archer.
I'm pretty sure they are aware of me. I lose track of them. Untill a tap on my shoulder as I exit a torture chamber. I turn and there they are, hands playfully on hips and head tilted curiously. They use the bone shrine and top off my health before taking me aside and they start writing in the warm dirt of the realm.
Don't know why I never thought of that before. Writing.
They go through a small selection of language. But I understand each one. But I tap one of them, their eyes squint in a smile. I think.
-Hello little stalker
I roll my head, a poor imitation of an eye roll. -Not stalking. But trying to figure out your gimmicks.
-Gimmicks?
Our conversation goes for only a short moment. God interupts us.

We meet up later in the Dark Woods, picking up our conversation. I learn that this soul calls themself Star, based on what they wish to see and based on the shape of their halo.
I was correct on my guess of the auto recall weapons upgrade and they told me the other one let their arrows pass through enemies. Two damage lowering upgrades seemed like a bad build to me, but to each their own.
They never asked me about my build, and good cause I don't like to tell or show my things to others. But they spoke of the rebellion and of wishes and hopes. And of how strange all this was.
They sort of reminded me of Justice. Simple. Maybe I should introduce them to one another? It'd be better company then that daggers user Justice seems to have gotten a fondness for. I may not be the most selfless soul out there, but even I look like a saint in comparison to that fool.
Star and I talk for a good long while before they tap out and go to keep up the "good fight." I wish them luck.
I should see about finding Justice and make them keep better company.

Inferno is the easiest place to start looking. 33 rebels enter the realm of fire, and I need to find one out of the 33.
It took me but a moment after I got up high in my usual place. All I had to do was look for a small group of two and check if one was selfless and the other selfish. There. In the east.
A sword of justice wielder struggling against a group of Mazza. If it had just been the spike covered foes, I'm sure the sword user would usually be fine, but the addition of the Bruciatore was making the task of... guarding someone at the nearby chest difficult.
That had to be Justice and their Greedy little friend.
As I get closer, to both aid Justice and possibly "speak" with them, I note that Greed dashes away.
I draw my bow before I realize what I was doing. The arrow striking up a bloom of dirt at the feet of the fleeing soul, right in their path. They stop short and shoot a glare in the direction my arrow flew from. But I use Guiding Light and slip behind some cover. I didn't want to deal with the greedy fool.
And I didn't want said fool to be able to point me out to any of our co-conspirators back at camp.

After that I seem to struggle to encounter them both again. Let alone Justice on their own. It took about nine to eleven times for me to find Greed again. But when I first found them, they had settled into the patterns of a group. Still taking everything they could, but managing to stick near others now. That was probably Justice's influance.
I couldn't snag them, but I made sure to keep my eye on them.
Watching them.
I'd have to find a moment to pull them aside. I keep only finding Greed and no Justice.
From that moment forward. My goal was hunting down Greed. A dodgy and quick soul, who seemed aware they were hunted.
It was a run into Inferno that I finally caught the greed-clad soul. Dragging them aside as they kicked and struggled somewhat. Someone attempts to come over but the look I give them makes them back off.
Once in a semi-safe clearing, I tap the dirt. Still holding Greed by their scruff. I start writing, trying several different ways till one sticks, I think.
-Where's Justice?
No responce yet. Probably unsure if of who that was. Or is our Justice were the same ones.
