Walking into the ball Aug felt really good for once going to one of these things. Normally he was nervous and a little worried. Tonight though he felt good, he was sure it had to be the fact that Dr. Bucceli had finally given him the ok to go off his medication. Smiling, he went straight to the first person he saw that he knew.

Satin had always hated the Balls, but what made this one even worse was he couldn’t even get drunk. Frowning when he saw someone he knew, he made a puppy dog face. “Please tell me the night's almost over.”

Bobbie smiled coldly at the sponsor she was speaking to, stroking his arm as he muttered something about his limitless funds. Bobbie nodded along with a feigned eagerness, glancing across the room and noticing someone familiar and likely more beneficial to her than the sponsor goon she was chatting to. “Great-” Bobbie interjected, her voice cool, “So I trust I’ll see your name in Alaric’s sponsorship list?” The man nodded eagerly, and, satisfied with that, Bobbie excused herself with a smile, and walked over to the person who had caught her eye. “One down.”

He'd spent the day running between his two children, the screens, and his stylist. This years girl wouldn't last long with the way she was fuming about Olive getting rid of her outfit. He realized when he got into the ball that he hadn't eaten all day. His stomach protested the lack of food and the first tray of appetizers he saw was lifted from the avox carrying it. He brought it over to table nine, sat down, and with no shame dug into it. He was just through his ninth stuffed mushroom when he noticed someone approaching a smiled with a mouth full of food. "Want one?"
