On 5-13-19, I was asked to be a part of a round table discussion with Congresswoman Dr. Virginia Foxx from North Carolina. She is leading the way in workforce reform and helping people understand that there are endless opportunities in the Blue Collar Trades. We spoke about the skills gap in trades and that companies need to do more to hire young apprentices looking for an opportunity. We spoke about companies overlooking apprentices for more experienced employees. We also spoke about the empowerment of women and their endless opportunities in all Blue Collar Trades. I gave her several of my Make Blue Collar Great Again stickers. I was super pumped that she put them in her purse and took them home. Thank you to @refrigerationschool for giving me the opportunity to meet with Congresswoman Foxx.
