"Harry: As the Queen was working her way down the line, one of us suggested that when our turn came we should give her a fist pump and say, 'Yo, Queen!' That set us off. We started giggling. And the closer she came, the worse our giggling grew. By the time she was a few handshakes away, we were almost in tears. Tom was trying to calm us down. 'Dudes, it's the Queen... Guys, really, shut up...'
I have just finished McFly : Unsaid Things...Our Story.
What a book!!
I cried, I laughed out loud (on the bus might I add) and as a die hard Galaxy Defender , I felt pride for the band I have loved for 10 years finally laying all bare out on the page.
This isn't a review of my favourite autobiography, this is a thank you to my favourite band for being so beautifully honest and frank with us.
These guys have earned a whole new respect from not only their fans, but anyone open-minded enough to invest time into this brilliant read.
I would honestly advise ANYBODY to read this as it is fantastic at pulling at all your emotion strings.
I definitely cannot wait to read this again. And again. And again.
Made myself go to the shop so put down the book, after spending most of the afternoon reading. I have work to do and other things, and so I have stopped myself picking it back up because otherwise I'll be lost for the rset of the evening. Will probably be up tonight reading.
Is weird to read because a) half of it we guessed or b) imagined/wrote in fanfic or c) had no idea about at all, and Mcfly are breaking my heart word by word.
It’s making me super emotional. I both miss and don’t miss those days. I miss the excitement, the friends... gosh everything we did. They seem like such magical days now... I just... I don’t know.
I’m an emotional mess. We waited so damn long for this book and now it’s here. Well. Gosh.
Having a weird emotional afternoon now.
Finding out things I honestly didn’t know, things I suspected or guessed, things I only imagined, and things I already knew. It’s very strange. And it’s all coming from them. There’s nothing that canbe ‘oh that was totally a jounalist'. THIS IS THEM. FOR THE FIRST TIME. IT’S WEIRD.
Relieving some of my own experiences now, and I miss them. I've dug out a load of photos and have been looking at them - and it all feels like it was yesterday, it's so bizarre. I miss the boardies. There I said it. I don’t think they read this but I wanted to say it. I kinda fell out of touch and off the radar a bit with them I suppose and I feel bad about that. I guess I had a lot of stuff going on, and then uni and stuff and I just moved on. I feel bad. I miss them. I miss all the crazy times we had. And I’m sorry.
