Okay, so I could be talking out of my ass, but I really like the fact the MCR set-lists consist of songs with the general theme of getting up, waking up, not laying in the dirt and decay forever. Sure, there’s the whole swarm and decay theme of it all but the general theme is getting back up no matter how bad it gets. But the fact that most sets end with Cancer or Famous Lasts Words, which end with lyrics talking about how difficult it is to get up but doing it anyway. Even the lesser known songs like Boy Division and Mastas of Ravenkroft have lyrics about being tired but running anyway. The whole theme of the UK Leg, and maybe even the whole tour, is essentially MCR’s core message: No matter how bad it gets, never give up, and stay alive.
