Emerson very much appreciates Marnie. Between her telling Team Yell to buzz off on the regular, to helping him get into Spikemuth when they shut the shutters. And it’s not just that, either. 

He respects her strength as a trainer. He’s only ever struggled against a select few trainers, and Marnie and Morpeko have gotten close to sweeping him before. It took Rina Rouge on a Dig frenzy to get around the lil guy.

Seeing everyone cheering her on in the semifinals was something he was very happy to see, because in his eyes, she deserves it. 

With her taking up her brother’s mantle as Spikemuth Gym Leader, Emerson has been thinking of ways to convince (or trick) sponsors and vendors to invest more money into Spikemuth, Power Spot or no Power Spot.

Once he figures out how to do that, he’s been planning to get the thoughts of Spikemuth’s locals. It’s the least they- and Marnie- deserve.

He didn’t think he’d ever see the girl before him ever again, now they stood before each other not as competition, but as equals. How strange it was... He remembered Marnie’s face from the opening ceremony of the Gym Challenge, but now they had both grown, and now they both were gym leaders in their own way. One of the fae and one of the shadows. On that same token, he wondered why it was that it seemed every gym challenger was coming to him as of late... He hoped it had something to do with the challenge getting to Bellonlea posed, or perhaps it was the beauty of it? Regardless, the blond was more than happy to be on his home field when speaking with strangers.

“Gym Leader Marnie of Spikemuth, correct?” He inquired, his fingers dancing over a toadstool that was placed strategically outside of Bellonlea Stadium. It lit up a brilliant blue, hardening as he took a seat. He looked so ethereal, so ghostly, sitting upon such a beautiful stool. Perhaps he truly was one of the fae that made themselves at home in the Glimwood Tangle. Maybe that was why Opal selected him to be the next gym leader... His ability to become one with the fae in a way many others couldn’t. Was that what ‘pink’ was... probably not -- in fact, most definitely not. Regardless, now was not the time to ponder over old things such as that. “What brings you here, truly Spikemuth is quite a ways away and I did not see any flying taxis.” Not like there were ever really many flying taxis that came to Bellonlea -- so many more people prefer to hike through the woodlands. Something he found to be particularly dangerous.

It started with her being a short distance away, looking at him thoughtfully - before she closes the distance and looks up to him with a somewhat serious expression. "Yer my brother's boyfrien' now, aye?" //fjfjfjf I'm sorry

       “Heeeeey Princess Yell. Yep! That’d be me.” grins at her. “Maaan, your bro’s great and sorry not sorry but I ain’t gonna fight ya for ‘im. It’d upset Piers if I whooped his baby sis for starters. Secondly, he’d blame himself. Sooo save the speeches kay?”

Piers hummed the tune to himself, tilting his head side to side as he did. Writing lyrics soothed him, even if he may never sing the song. At least he had songs just in case he needed them. He hadn’t noticed the hair to be honest. He has the bang hanging over one side of his face so he used to hair in his face. Plus he was in the zone.

“Baa baa shiny Wooloo have you any soul.. Hm hmm hmm.”

He froze as Marnie got close, moving the hair back into the way he had styled it, and brushed his hair a bit while doing so. He gave her a smile and watched as she sat nearby.

“Just a random song. I tend ter write out lyrics and sometimes I never end up singing ‘em. But I don’ mind. Writin’ lyrics is me passion as yer know.”
