MCU's sinking romances

When you think about it, it's insane that almost every single romantic relationship in the MCU has completely fallen apart or is is covered in tragedy. There's no love stories.

Thor and Jane -> Jane died

Wanda and Vision -> Died

Peter and Gamora -> Gamora died

Peter and MJ -> Peter forgotten, "i don't love you"

Pepper and Tony -> Tony died

Nakia and Tchalla -> Tchalla died

Stephen and Christine -> Broke up, she married someone else

Bruce and Natasha -> Imploded, Natasha died

Steve and Peggy -> I guess this was redeemed but??

Sylvie and Loki -> He sacrificed himself

Clint and Laura -> she techincally died for 5 years soo

The only successful relationship is Scott/Hope 😭

I’m wondering why Marvel hasn’t given Sam any love interest (yet at least). His personal storyline revolves around his sister and nephews. But the TFATWS creators want/wanted to force that with Bucky in just 2 episodes even though he has nothing to do with Sam’s sister in the comics (at least I don’t think so). Marvel disregarded his comic relationship with Black Widow but approved this. I don’t want this to come off wrong, Sarah may be strong and good and all but she’s still just a tertiary normal human character and the idea of getting one of the main recurring characters with a D list character isn’t very appealing plot wise. And the whole thing would read like a 'dating my bestie’s sister' trope.

I think they were trying to focus on Sam's character growth as Captain America and I've seen a few things about Bucky and his character growth shown in the way he flirts with Leah in the beginning vs Sarah at the end.

Id be interested either way they go, I just hope they don't shove them together. And I wouldn't necessarily agree with the D list human tertiary character. I get that she is, because she's only been in a little bit and she's new and what not, but that's not a reason I wouldn't want them together.

Marvel's always been weird with relationships. They did that thing with Nat and Bruce. And Clint has his family. And they had both Peggy and Sharon. I dunno.

MCU Relationships are NOT ALWAYS NEEDED

Steve Rogers and Sharon Carter is a perfect example of a relationship that was NOT needed. Not only did it look like there was no chemistry, but there was no purpose! He didn’t even end up with her bruh, and that’s fine, but damn the whole aunty and niece shit was weird. I hate when movies at romance for no fucking reason. The only relationships that were valid to me were Tony and Pepper, Clint and Laura, Strange and Palmer, T’Challa and Nakia, Steve and Peggy, and Wanda and Vision. All of these relationships weren’t a focal point in the movie, but you saw growth between the two leading into a relationship (besides Clint, but he was already married).

You have the B.S. relationship that was Bruce and Nat that served no purpose especially when there was no chemistry. Then you have the shit show that was Sharon and Steve... just to add a kiss to Civil War since no one else was in a relationship. Lastly, you have Peter and Liz... they were cute and it was nice to see him juggle his hero life and personal life while being a nerdy teenager with a huge crush... and then we got Far From Home where there’s a huge focal point on him and Michelle for WHAT? They had no chemistry in the first movie, and just seemed flat out rude while trying to be “I’m not like other girls” type, and then we see no growth of a relationship or even friendship between them. It’s like “hey peter just got out the soul stone, let’s send him to Europe and put him in another relationship just for no reason because he’s dorky and needs to get the girl, but lets make her dorky too for some change.” Because we didn’t see him do tjat the last movie?? Anyway this whole NEED for a relationship in a movie is bullshit. If you have a good plot you don’t need dumbass filler. Bruce didn’t need Nat, Steve didn’t need Sharon, and Peter definitely doesn’t need Michelle. Are they gonna change the love interest in the next movie? We already saw that they have multiple scenes alone together. It’s damn unnecessary.
