gameActions
After adding some more stuff to Catastrophy, I’ve been drifting back to work on Beelzebug. Between the two Beelzebug is a much bigger and better game with more potential. One of the biggest differences is, with Beelzebug I am not just making an html5 game but building my own game engine (the Meat Engine) underneath.
The Meat Engine started as just a level editor, but it’s growing into more. The latest addition is a configuration editor, where you can change game settings, character settings and game actions. All events that happen in the Meat Engine are a “gameAction”. When a character wants to do something (say puke), you can assign that character the “puke” action and then cherry-pick which attributes of “puke” this specific character wants to change when they puke.
Here’s some screen shots of the Unit Editor changing the player’s gameActions
Pretty cool huh? Sure gives me half a chub ;)
