Today is the birthday of Krist Anthony Novoselic (born May 16, 1965) is best known as the bassist and founding member of the band Nirvana alongside Kurt Cobian and Dave Grohl the band had massive success earning platinum awards and touring around the world to sold-out shows. After the band disbanded in 1994 following the death of Kurt Cobian he formed DSweet 75 and Eyes Adrift both bands released one album. For three years he played with the band Flipper. He played bass and accordion on the Foo Fighter’s album Wasting Light once again working with former bandmate Dave Grohl. Novoselic has been very politically active and created JAMPAC(Joint Artists and Musicians Political Action Committee), he wrote the column for Seattle Weekly Website. Since 2008 he has been on the chair of the electoral reform organization Fair Vote. He will often reminisce about the good time he had with Kurt Cobain and Nirvana. I’ve heard him talk about politics and music and he is passionate about both Novoselic was a key player in one of modern music’s most influential bands
