The biggest piece of advice....GET TWO! Never get only one rat. That is the biggest no no in rat owner ship. Other than that, on what to look for, just go and see who is friendly :) Watch for bad health signs, but as long as they are healthy, I suggest stinking your hand in and see who comes up. Always make sure to get the same gender though. No mixing!
