ᯓ★ MECHA UDE
WIP (possibly art collab 👀)
An illustration idea I had for a while showing Kagami’s designs throughout the anime, showcasing his growth! And I thought it would be really cool to make this a collab within the Mecha ude fanartists community! Basically a 6 people collab with a different artist drawing a different design of Kagami each!
Rn 3 (ep3 design) and 5 (ep7-8 design) are taken!

Speaking of the manga, I mostly prefer the Mechaude anime to the Mechaude manga (Ehm ep 6 and 11 Ehm my 2 fav episodes literally don’t exist in the manga-) BUT there are some exceptions! Mainly some cut scenes from the manga that I WISH were kept (a lot of Tohdoh ones and some main trio shenanigans lol) but also the ep9 ordela fight scene. Like I’m so sad bc ep9 is one of my fav episodes AND IT COULD BE BETTER!!!
In the anime it feels like Hikaru gets all the spotlight in the fight scene even tho it’s Kagami’s episode like CMON ITS KAGAMIS TURN TO SHINE!!! While in the manga it feels more like they are working together! And they communicate through out the fight! Kagami screaming “NOW IS YOUR CHANCE AMATSUGA!!” hits harder in the manga bc we get a huge panel of Kagami trying to hold Ordela while its LITERALLY COLLAPSING ON TOP OF HIM and also Hikaru and Alma react to Kagami’s screaming like “we gotta help him now!” inforcing the fact that Kagami is ACTUALLY in danger there! Making it feel more like the fight actually matters and has stakes!
And Kagami’s “Are you trying to bury me too?!” line makes more sense in the manga. Bc in the anime for some reason they added some random stuff attacking Kagami as Hikaru finishes ordela off just so he can complain after the fight? While in the manga when Hikaru is coming down onto ordela with Alma’s giant form we see Kagami there looking up at them reminding us YEAH HES LEFT UNDER ORDELA AND BY EXTENSION WHATEVER ALMA AND HIKARU ARE DOING!! So it makes sense for him to say “Are you trying to bury me too?!” Like “wtf I was under ordela too were you gonna crush me along with it???”
idk sorry for my rambling I just really like that fight scene in the manga and wanted to talk about it lol :3
