Topic: Robot drugs

CW/TW: Well...Drugs!

Content warning: This entire info dump is just going to be explaining substances - not too explicitly, but how they would affect robots. It's nothing explicit.

USBs - Exactly what they sound like- USBs filled with code that will tamper with a robot's circuits to make them feel good

Files - Downloading files, don't last as long

Self-Mutilation - Actively re-wiring your own body to feel a certain way; usually done unsafely and via jabbing electrical wires

Electric shocks - Electric shocks are administered into the body either by a person or a device to send pleasure or euphoria through one's body

"Drowning" - Filling your body with overly strong and energized loquid substance (basically battery acid):

Robots that can consume (artificial stomachs or storage systems): They have a higher chance of being okay, but it will still fuck with their system

Robots that can't consume: Will overdose almost immediately, or become quickly addicted; the liquid won't go into an artificial stomach, but instead through the circuits. It's like dipping your computer in water, instead of carefully cleaning it with a wet cloth on its surface

Topic: Vindict's "glitch attacks"

Glitch Attacks (Will name different prolly prolly not)

What are they? Well, they vary from bot to bot. In Vindict's case, it's a mostly short moment in time where his body is trying to fight off malfunctioning, only to make the malfunctioning even worse, all while trying to keep his virus from taking over again.

Usual causes? Too much physical or emotional stress on the head.

Symptoms? Scrambled memory- sometimes memory loss, but other times misplaced memories: For example, somebody was wearing a bracelet the day before the glitch attack, but his memory will make him think that person was wearing that bracelet in ANOTHER memory, like last week.

During a glitch attack, Vindict's screen is just going haywire, his making erratic noises and movements. After math? Usually exhaustion, emotional distress, or completely going offline to recover.

Treatments? Good question! So, uhm; just DONT bonk him on the head- at least too hard - but thats all they've come up with. After the reveal with the virus and it's connection to Star, the plan is to break that link between Vin and Star, in hopes it can stop his glitch attacks completely.

But Vindict himself is skeptical about this plan.

How does Vindict deal with it?

Ignores it like a fucking idiot. He uhmmmm. Doesn't take it as seriously as Bay does. One reason being because after a glitch attack happens, his memories lowkey corrupt that file, and try to delete it.

Another reason being because he doesn't like being seen as weak, or fragile; he's the team leader, he's the older brother, he's supposed to care for Bay, not the other way arround.

He believes in the "3 strikes an' your out" rule- 3 strong hits to the head, and then a glitch attack occurs. Might be true sometimes, but it's not garunteed.

He's also not aware of Bay's own memory issues- sure, he knows the little guy has had his memories deleted, but he didn't know it was an ongoing problem.

So, Vindict still smacks Bay around by the head, and Bay kinda takes it, because he either forgets to speak up, or can't bring himself to

Beat-Down and Yuan-Mo are the best when it comes to this; the two know not to damage either of the brothers on the head. Sometimes after glitch attacks, Yuan-Mo will deliver him gentle electric shocks that help stabilize his system and bring him some form of relief.
