Another afternoon of utter normality, as was so often the case in this big, confusing city.  Tatsumaki had found herself getting too used to the mundane day-to-day of someone with such limited esper powers for her own liking.  Not being able to do anything about it was perhaps the most frustrating part.  Allegedly getting out and getting to know people more might help her to this end, but...ugh.  She really wasn’t a people person.

Well, no harm in trying, she supposed.  She’d wound up beneath the giant tree in Cotes, taking a spot by someone sitting at the river, letting their feet rest in the running water.  She’d had nothing to say for several seconds.  Then...

“This whole city is too quiet for me.”  Probably the best conversation starter one could expect from her.

even though the train is crowded the hunter does notice a familiar face seated not too far from where he is standing. he supposes her actions are warranted considering he is a hunter. soon the train comes to a halt and he can see her gathering her things quickly before leaving the train. unfortunately for her this is also his stop.

he did lose sight of her for a brief moment but he soon finds her again near the zebra crossing and a red traffic light. it didn’t take too long for him to catch up. he is much taller after all.

   the churches scattered about Archimedes were always a sight to behold. most laid in ruin, others having long since given up any hope or want of restoration, while a few remained intact and open by dedicated keepers. ( Jehanne’s comes to mind and she makes a mental note to visit her church later. she could find that quiet bubble of peace within those walls. ) but the number of those left empty outweighed the filled. she had....no particular reason for seeing them today, walking through them. there was always a sense of loneliness that surrounded ruins; an emptiness that goes beyond just that of a space that has been abandoned-- forgotten. 

    the wild had taken over now. flowers and foliage crept up and around what remained of walls, covering chunks of break that lay scattered on the ground. it looked beautiful in a....melancholic sort of way. Ritsuka sighs quietly, turning at the sound of footsteps close by. she spots a woman and offers a small smile in greeting. “ I don’t see a lot of people out here. Did you come to look at the ruins? Or to gather some of the flowers that grow here? “

not all survival is the same he is very much aware of that. to some extent, he may even agree with them. after all, his partner is a good example of just that. however in wujiu’s case he always believes that there is a choice. like his own situation, for example. it had made him stronger, because he needed to be stronger. he never really had another option nor would he haven taken it, he stands by his choices. 

  ❝   it depends on the kind of survival.  ❞  is what he settles with.  ❝   some leave us damaged, some leave us stronger and wiser.  ❞  the guard looks down,  ❝   either way, we learn a thing or two from it, isn’t that right, doctor?  ❞

Ramuda doesn’t like doctors. There’s a myriad of reasons for this, not least of which they seem to have an eye for figuring out that something about Ramuda Amemura is off. He’s not sure if his insides are arranged the way someone who is not a clone’s should be, and he’s positive a creature like him isn’t built to last. People in medical positions seem to be able just to tell. Still, he likes Doctor Dyer against his better judgement, so he finds himself seeking her out when something is wrong.

He knocks on her door, gives her a second and knocks some more. “Onee-san~! Please answer, it’s your favorite Ramuda!!”
