COSI’ CONTESSINA COSIIIIIIIIIIII’
Mercy kill
Your character is in pain and believes that they will not survive. Send me “Mercy kill” to see my character’s reaction to yours asking mine to end their misery.
Jude had always acted with an unquestionable kindness that served above and beyond the call of duty. Some called it meddling, to other’s he was just a do-gooder, but Ludger had always respected him for that. So when Jude had offered to aid in the removal of an elite monster, the agent knew he had no room to refuse. Of course, he would split the prize pool when they returned —he was aware that it wasn’t only himself in the red, these days.The Nala Lava Tubes were a harsh, unforgiving environment alone, let alone the monsters that dwelled within it’s uncomfortably heated recesses. Ludger wiped the sweat that had begun pooling on his brow as he gave the younger somewhat of an apologetic look. ”Sorry for dragging you out here, Jude.. It was this or the one at the Kuhkur Ice Caverns..” The agent smiled sheepishly whilst wringing the nape of his neck. Which was also sweat-adorned. Gross…Jude however just gave a small smile and waved it off with a simple gesture of his hand. Ever the considerate do-gooder. The cavern was vast, but if his previous visits had been any use when it came to mapping out the place, then he knew there was only one area, a cave-like complex, that could house something as large as an elite monster --the other passageways were narrow to navigate, it made fighting a little difficult, truth be told, so he was more than thankful for the researcher's presence.It wasn't long before the beast in question was within their sights, a monstrous magma dragon. It hovered in the air like some gargantuan snake, covered in spines encrusted with rock-formed lava, yet it exuberant molten magma, lighting the beast in some brilliant orange. If it hadn't been so horrifying, then it might have been considered beautiful.Still, there was a job to do, and Jude had already equipped himself with his gauntlets and a steely expression. Ludger followed suit, drawing his sledgehammer betwixt both hands as he crouched his form to counter the weight on his weapon. He was readied, and linking with his partner, both men charged into battle.It was grueling, far more taxing that Ludger had been expecting, and if Jude hadn't have been there, then he was sure he would have been a goner more than once by now. Their link had them both thinking and moving in tandem, two bodies as one unit combating their mighty foe, who it seemed had taken a gratuitous beating of it's own. One foul sweep with it's mighty tail had Ludger stagger from his feet, the impact winding the agent and sending him flying across the floor. His weapon scattered away from him, and he could practically feel the concern that elicited from Jude as their link broke"Ludger--!!" The voice of the younger reverberated about the entire cavern, and Jude rushed forwards, diving under the aerial beast to make it to his ally. He offered a hand and a smile, as Jude usually did. "C'mon, let's end this." And he would begin to help the agent back to his feet. "Jude!" Ludger called, the beast behind them preparing a ferocious attack. Jude turned momentarily to send a strong fist at their foe, an incredible strength landing squarely upon it's nose as it recoiled a little from the impact. The medic referred his attention back to his injured ally, taking his hand and helping him to his feet."Hold still." He commanded, summoning his spirit artes to perform a fast, basic heal upon them both whilst they had a moment. A nod of thanks would be what Ludger permits before diving straight back into the fray. Or, he would have done, if the dragon hadn't have disappeared. Confusion met both of the men, eyes darting all over the complex as the agent made a weary approach for his hammer, recovering it from the floor. It was as he took the weapon in his hand that he heard a crushing sound --unmistakably the sound of Jude being struck judging by the noise that came from the researcher's lips, the pain it possessed.Swiftly, Ludger turned to see the dragon having pinned Jude down against the ground with it's many spines. Where it came from, Ludger hadn't seen. What he could see was the blood that begun to stain the doctor's labcoat. He could hear the shallow breaths, see the efforted rise and fall of his chest as hands clasped around one of the spines that had impaled him. Ludger wasted no time in his approach, swinging his sledgehammer in preparation for an attack, he hit the ground firmly, ripples of ice shooting towards the enemy."--Freezing Eruption!" Having caught it within chilled icicles, Ludger didn't stop there, the mallet imbuing with a brilliant white light as he sent a series of attacks at the dragon. "Magical Destruction--!"It moved from it's place pinning Jude down and collapsed onto the ground next to the researcher. Whether it was alive or dead, he didn't know, he didn't take it much into consideration, instead discarding his weapon to the ground to grant him a little more speed in approaching his prone friend. Blood was everywhere now, Ludger could feel it under his knees as he dropped to Jude's level, between his fingers as he lifted his friend a little from the ground."Heh, g-guess I let m... my guard down..huh?" Dammit.. This was no time for that, Ludger just shook his head, reaching into a pocket to find an apple gel. No, not enough, a lemon gel --no still not enough. A miracle gel, and offered it to the researcher. "H-Hold on to it.. I.. I don't think even my f-father can get me out of this one.. I'm stubborn, b-but I know when I'm.... when I'm beat.." No. This didn't sound like Jude at all. Before Ludger could protest, Jude held a weak hand up to silence him, taking a large lungful of air. "I.. I want you to.. take care of everyone, okay..? M-Milla especially, she'll.. probably not take it well... and, I know it's selfish, but.. I need a favour.." Without the other speaking Ludger knew what the request would be."--Make this quick."No.. No, Ludger couldn't accept that. He wouldn't. He was silent, eyes clamped shut and breathing deep. He had no time to waste, as he gently lifted Jude, met with protestations he didn't care to listen to. When the younger was on his back, Ludger began moving as swiftly as his legs would allow. He would prefer to be able to visit Leronde, but that was impractical, he wouldn't get their in time. Fenmont wasn't too far though, and they had that Medical School Jude used to attend. It would be their best shot."Jude, shut up and let me do this." Ludger cut through all the protests, and his request was met with silence for a long time. They had reached the end of the Nala Lava Tubes now, into an icy tundra."Ludger...."

Your character has just discovered my character’s journal/diary.
Leave a ☱ in my askbox for an entry that’s about you.
Jude and I bonded past sappy eternal soul linking and I’m proud to say that we’re officially the best bruhs around! That guy has a strange thing for trains, however, — and it might have even became an addiction of his. I just hope that he wouldn’t try to live in one.On a side note, he should really start eating more before he disappears into thin air. A doctor not dictating his daily nourishment intake? Not that I want him to become like Rollo but…Anyway, I am honestly worried about that guy.He should take better care of himself more.
Emil's lips were dry, mouth open, unsure.
{ What is that thing? }
It dragged him here, calling to him, made muscles clench and fear coat his tongue for he did not belong here. Still, it spoke to him, whispering things, voices...
A finger went to touch the shape, sparks curling about his hand before he quickly jerked it back, eyes wide, jolted into what he was doing. His eyes turning, a presence in the room making the summon spirit want to cringe as he -- ever so slowly-- turned to a staring individual.
"I'm s-sorry..." It was a whisper, voice hoarse, "It...it j-just..." { Get 't away from me! } "It..."
He'd never heard of spyrix, nor the tools these people were developing towards helping... he'd never heard...
Perched on the 13th floor of the Helioborg’s research institute, Ludger sauntered through the robust door and into the familiar room. His fingers were clasped around the handle of a bag, containing nourishment for a researcher in particular. His eyes glanced freely around his surroundings, before they laid upon a hunched over figure. "Jude." He greeted in his typical mellowed tone.
He focused on the pot, ladle in hand and just... stirring liquid of tomato soup.
The harbor beholds a scent of assorted savor. The breezy winds rolled aloft the pristine waves, carrying a refreshing tenderness along their ride. It was a promising destination in Elympios to luxuriate after a winding day at work yet, every jittery of reminiscing pricked at his contemplation to no end -- then, he heaved a sigh. A familiar voice snapped Ludger out of his reverie, prompting him to divert his attention towards the source. It was Jude but he was extensively immersed in his phone call. Ludger's head tilted slightly to the side, as though weighing his choices between approaching or permitting the chanced encounter to flee scot free. The corner of his lips folded in consideration before dismissing the latter of the options behind him. At the precise moment his foot was placed before another, Ludger's meticulous vision caught sight of a hostile gunning for the oblivious researcher with malicious intent. A small noise of vexation curled past his lips and he couldn't be any faster to obstruct his objective. His dual blades were drawn and he was hastened by winged boots, effectively knocking the aggressor with the blunt end of his weapons. Another exasperated sigh was fabricated, as he whirled on his feet to greet his friend. "Are you alright?" Gingerly, he outstretched his hand with the harmless intention to pat on the other's shoulder but it never contacted with its focus and was left hovering above the white coat. Ludger's teeth briefly sank into his bottom lips, fingers curling, muscles shrieking in oppression against laying his exposed, callous fingers on his friend. A flicker of vision thundered by -- before it faded into reality and henceforth, prompted Ludger to withdraw his gesture. "You should be careful." He chastised in a mellowed tone, but mind burning, lingering upon his own restrictions.
