Started With an Accident | Mary & Shuu
Everything in Iwamine's mind screamed at him that being here was not right and that he should probably leave as soon as possible. Cafes with this sort of gimmick were far below him, and he had no fondness for women with personae that were most likely manufactured to appeal to their target market. Other men may buy into that shallow sort of thing, but not him- and so he coldly waved away another waitress for the third time, completely content with the lonely cup of black coffee set in front of him.
As much as he wanted to leave, his rear stayed firmly rooted to the cushioned, bright pink seat. He could not leave yet- a former colleague visiting from abroad had scheduled to meet him here. After all these years, the man's taste for women never changed. Shuu took a look at his watch for what seemed to be the umpteenth time during the last thirty minutes of his stay here. Just where was that man?
That was when his cellphone conveniently rang. Beyond irritated at the tardiness of his 'guest', Shuu hastily fished it out from his coat pocket. At this point, he was on the verge of wanting to take his colleague to somewhere dark and do away with him.
'hey something came up, so lets reschedule!! how about tomorrow, 8pm after u get off work? thnks!! ✧( ु•⌄• )◞◟( •⌄• ू )✧'
No degree of professionalism- how typical. At least it meant he could finally leave this wretched place. He shoved his phone back into his pocket and was about to make his exit when a passing waitress tripped on a chair leg as he scraped his chair back. A large cup of milk tea (thank god it wasn't anything hot) perched on her tray was sent flying, its contents spilling all over his front. A stillness took over Shuu, his face remaining stone-cold; he simply couldn't believe his luck.
