Dozen Megadonors Gave $3.4 Billion, One in Every 13 Dollars, Since 2009

A new study shows the role of the super rich in politics since the Supreme Court loosened restrictions on political spending more than a decade ago.

It already bothers me that the wealthy have too much power in the political system, This article lists 6 republican & 6 democratic megadonors, and I’m further enraged at the selfishness of the rich.

By my quick count: their republican donors gave $967 million to various federally-monitored causes, and the listed democrats gave $991 million in the same category.  

Those totals don’t include the $1.3 billion that Michael Bloomberg and Tom Steyer spent on their OWN campaigns.  This is egomaniacal supervillain bullshit!
