right, like obama has been heavily criticized by leftists as well and, at least in my experience, the people airing grievances about hillary also criticize obama for everything that post outlined. there is merit to people who are upset that hillary gets an unfair amount of criticism because she’s a woman (women and minorities in general are held to a higher standard of progressivism), and that’s true no matter what philosophy you subscribe to, but she is also one of the most powerful women on the planet and she has used that power to do really questionable things that have hurt a lot of people. she and her husband are responsible for shaping the current democratic party and its principles. she has defended some of her husband’s most harmful policies and said that, were she in his place in the 90s, she would have done the same. downplaying all of this baggage is not helpful, acting like it’s not fair to do this to someone who’s spent decades in government creating and influencing policy is really counterproductive, and i don’t believe sweeping all of this under the rug is in anyone’s best interest other than hillary’s. i’m still voting. she’s going to be the president. but she also needs to be held accountable
