God, I wish I could commission someone for a dumb fic banner. I just came up with an idea just now.
Curse you, job.

@getvalentined I know that this has nothing to do with the conversation at hand, but reading your tag rant about gendered pronouns made me laugh. But also, it's horrible!
Romantic language genders is a lie, yes. But you know what's worse: non-Romantic language genders in language. Trying to figure out why a fucking door is female but a window is male is just— why are we gendering books! Plural!
Grammatical genders is the only thing I hate in my language studies, and then you get to things that have more than three. Why are you doing this to me.
Animate and inanimate make sense, yes. But male, female, neuter, and then that all changing upon whether it is also M/F/N. Fucking, if I remember one, I read that there's a language set that has "vegetable" as a grammatical gen—
Anyway, yes.
You are correct: god forbid nonbinary people do anything.
Writing on the Internet has always been an uphill battle, but it feels particularly... pointless these days? I can't properly put a word to it, but it stopped feeling worthwhile in a "curating an audience" sense. I think after I finish some things, I'll probably pack it in and just work on my own things for a while.
If I post anything, I have links to where you can find them, and I'll be fixing up my blog to keep things current. I'm only going to be posting things to finish my very long to do list, but I'll try to either not promote or only promote in proper circles.
Either way, thanks for 22 years of good shit. I'm glad to get back to reading at least.
I hate that I have to keep turning Tumblr Live off. Staff knows that it's an awful feature, and instead of just making it a standard "opt-out", they had to do this whole rigamarole to discourage people. Insanity.
Hell yeah.
Maximum 4 strike team members and still getting a S-rank is so choice. I love this game.
Also, Amiguchi being the most delinquent between him and Nenji is so funny to me.
Found a word processor a little while ago that I liked and vibed with. Great UI, pretty good export options, little supplementary features that I adored, and a yearly price that, if bought, wasn't too bad at all for some high level features.
I've used a bunch of different WPs over the decades, and this hit that sweet spot of what I was looking for—
and then come to find out they've started integrating AI into their programme. At first, for the one or two days I used it after this upgrade, it was opt-in, but now when you load the programme, you can only opt-in or not use it at all.
Listen, I have some positive thoughts about AI as a tool and its implementation into certain industries and disciplines, but the execution in a majority of sectors and end-user things leaves a lot to be desired.
We've been living in a dystopian society for a hot minute now, but the constant, unfailing reminders are absolutely not appreciated.
Sometimes, I forget the thrill of having that one idea you're incredibly bite-y and wild over. I always love trying to build out my skill set writing things that aren't necessarily in my wheelhouse.
I'm not as wild about my current project (an eroguro short), but the one that comes after it has me vibrating in my seat because it's so wildly indulgent and incredibly funny.
