        her  lunch  time  routine  has  become  a  ritual  at  this  point  ,  really  ;  sitting  at  her  usual  corner  table  ,  book  in  hand  &  her  meal  in  front  of  her  ,  she’s  as  far  away  as  possible  from  the  judgy  little  eyes  of  the  more  arrogant  ,  opinionated  people  in  the  cafeteria  .  it’s  not  that  she  gives  them  much  importance  to  begin  with  ---  but  she  does  value  her  peace  &  quiet  .  especially  since  the  only  thing  anybody  ever  says  to  her  is  ‘lighten  up’  .  god  forbid  her  ‘attitude’  is  contagious  .  it’s  why  she  only  prepares  for  the  worst  when  the  seat  in  front  of  her  rattles  &  soon  enough  ,  somebody  is  seated  across  the  table  from  her  .  gaze  shifts  slowly  from  her  book  then  ,  falling  instead  on a  fairly  familiar  face  .  she  leans  back  into  her  seat  soon  after  ,  puzzled  expression  painting  her  features  &  she’s  nearly  tempted  to  look  around  for  someone  with  a  camera  .  just  in  case  .  “  ----  can  i  help  you  ?  “
