Megan,

Today, you’re graduating. I still remember the day you came home in Sophomore year, after realizing that that your ultimate dream was to become a librarian. I remember when you got your acceptance letter into the iSchool, I remember your first day, walking onto campus with sparkles in your eyes. I remember your long nights and early mornings, spending hours working with classmates, working with library patrons in your capstone project. I remember when you cried, glassy-eyed, when your student told you how much the work you did at KRL meant to her. Today, I felt smart.

Now, you’re finished. There are no more final papers, no more research consultations, no more capstone projects to keep you up at night. Today, you’ll be up on stage, getting your hood and your Master’s degree. You worked so hard... and now those dreams that you’ve been holding in your hand are coming true.

Today, you are a librarian.

There is nobody else I would rather be on this journey with. I love you so Megan, and I am so, so, so,
