Mugetsu x Reader
You've come home late from a long day at work, tears in your eyes and a crick in your neck. Your back aches, your jaw hurts from where you'd be clenching it all day, and your anxiety is through the roof.
He seems to know all of this without you even saying anything. As soon as you're in the front door, toeing your shoes off, Mugetsu is there, taking off your jacket to hang on the coat rack and leading you further into the house you share together with a hand on the small of your back.
You hear water running from the bathroom, and he leads you there through the bedroom. There you see the bathtub being filled with steamy water, and your favorite bath bomb has been put in it. It fizzles around, letting off a purple color and lavender scent.
You turn to him to ask how he'd known you'd had a bad day, but he just kisses you silent. It's gentle and chaste; he works his arms around you and just holds you for a moment, reveling in the sweet kiss and the quiet of the bathroom despite the running water.
He breaks the kiss and pecks your cheek, then bends over to turn off the water. His long, black hair is thrown over his shoulder and you notice for the first time that he's shirtless. You trace the contours of his pecs and abs, your eyes following the trail of hair down into his pants…
He catches your gaze and you turn away, blushing. He smirks, just a little. "Not yet, little one," Mugetsu murmurs in his deep voice. "We're taking care of you first."
He takes off your shirt and helps you out of your trousers, throwing them to the side without care. You take off your underwear as he checks the temperature of the water. He seems satisfied as he leads you to the tub, holding your hand as you step over the threshold.
You sink into the bath with a deep seated sigh, feeling all of your stress and anxiety just melt away. The ache in your back is gone, your jaw is no longer tense, and your soul is filled with a sense of well-being. You look up at Mugetsu lovingly, knowing that you'd still be stressed if it weren't for him.
Mugetsu begins taking off the rest of his clothing to join you, stepping into the bath and slipping behind you. Holding you close, he begins rubbing your arms and shoulders, kneading your tense muscles. You lay your head back onto his strong shoulder and he continues massaging your overworked body.
You feel his hardness up against the small of your back, but he doesn't do anything about it. Just continues rubbing and massaging your skin. You feel a little cheeky so you slowly push back on his length. His movements stutter a little, and he can't help but grind up against your back. You hear his intake of breath and do it again, and again.
Eventually, you stop teasing him, looking over your shoulder and smiling. "Little minx…" you get in reply. You laugh a little, relaxing back into his embrace.
You both finish your bath, and he wraps you up in a towel while he makes you your favorite tea. You sip it slowly, savoring the flavor and the way it warms you from the inside out. All in all, this shitty day has turned into an amazing, comforting evening.
Each of you sit in silence sipping your respective tea. His hand is on your thigh as a comfort more than anything, and you find yourself feeling content for the first time that day.
Finally, you both head to bed, and Mugetsu wraps you up in his strong arms, whispering that he loves you. Your heart has never felt so full.
I would like to take the time to explain the importance of my insignia and my name, MelancholyBlight, for those who do not already know. The broken halo is a reminder that nobody is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes and everyone fucks up. Some more than others. The head floating above the shoulders of the wings states its okay to let your head drift away into the clouds. To let your mind wander. You'll find your best ideas there. The wings are between that of a bird and a bat/angel and devil. There's a dark to every light and there's a light to every dark. There's balance. Never assume anything is one way or the other. It's important to me because I personally suffer from chronic depression and anxiety. My broken halo is my flaw. I have hurt people and I have been hurt. But the past makes me who I am today. I am "blighted" by a near constant state of melancholy. And I see many around me trying to smile through their own problems. Pretending to be happy when their eyes say they are not. Humanity is blighted by melancholy. But depression and other things don't have to weigh you down. You can build yourself a pair of wings out of your melancholy and fly. You just have to know yourself. Acceptance of existence. It's a concept that will help those who suffer deal with it. Knowing they can't change what has happened. Don't forget, but forgive.
