"Sweden wants to be the usual Sweden", this is the exact reason I'm not excited anymore about Melodifestivalen. They'll never allow any song in Swedish, or a fun, less "serious" song, or basically any kind of alternative entry to win. It seems that Sweden wants to be represented by safe, radio-friendly English songs-this is their brand, the image they want to present in Europe and they are determined to stick to it and never take any risks. It's all so boring and formulaic.

Yes but we have to admit that they’ve tried a slightly different move with their last two entries (Lundvik and Mamas), giving space to soul and black music, right? But this year they’ll probably go back to their usual pop, yes.

Eric will be the winner 100% . He is first in trending ön yt and a lot of people will vote him bcs he bring Sweden in top 3 in 2011. Will be the same like Rybak åt MGP2018.

That’s true: he could get the trophy thanks to his popularity and not for having such a memorable song (even if I appreciate it for being slightly less predictable than some other very commercial songs like New Religion).

Poor Eva and Ewa!! They’re out while crappy songs like Alvaro Estrella’s get to the final... Sweden, you can really be musically cheesy sometimes.

Who are you cheering for in tonights Melfest? I personally think this is a game for the females.

Since I can’t have Ewa & Eva because Sweden wants to be the usual Sweden, I’m rooting for either Dotter or Anton Ewald.

Sorry but Eric's Performance was disappointing, The Mamas' Song is also not that great... So it either Dotter or the Ding Dong Ladies for me, with Tusse coming at third

I honestly don’t get all the hype around Tusse... But you’re not alone, that’s for sure. I just find that song already heard, both lyrics and melody.

Das Melfest ist nicht mehr das was es mal war, weil es bleibt, was es war! Klingt erst mal verwirrend, ist aber leider so. Schweden galt lange Zeit als die Vorentscheids-Nation schlechthin, kaum ein Land zelebrierte den Auswahlprozess zum ESC so sehr wie Schweden.
