En traditionsenlig frukost för några vänner till mig inkluderat mig själv är så klart denna kaffe pärla MELLQVIST på rörstrandsgatan 4, ett stenkast från St:eriksplan. Började med att en kompis tipsade om detta fika ställe (egentligen den på Hornsgatan) men då St eriksplan ligger mer rätt på vägen till arbetet så är vi rätt så ofta här. Minst en gång i veckan. En annan viktig anledning till varför man fördriver sin tid här är på grund av deras goda kaffe, och självklart deras superfrukost! I superfrukosten ingår valfri kaffe, valfri macka (väldigt goda mackor), yoghurt, ägg samt färskpressad juice. Kan inte bli så mycket bättre man kan få en tidig morgon, samt alltid trevlig och serviceinriktad personal! Helt klart en av mina favoritställen och värt ett besök oavsett när. För alla morgonpigga så kan jag också nämna att de öppnar 06.00! Väl mött! Bifogar även en bild på stället!

Soft/hard values and vivid communications

Setting up meeting with Mellqvist. I need to dive down even deeper in to the background, idea and vision of what Mellqvist is and wants to be. My concept and work has to stand firm on a solid research of what Mellqvist needs to be for the future. What I need is a meeting with Anders and supply that meeting with enough inspiration in order for Anders to give me what i need. First meeting: Soft values (ideas, visions, feelings, individuals at Mellqvist, stories, and such) Second meeting: Hard values (functions, situations, materials and such) Third and last meeting: I present different ideas of concepts to Anders where he later decides witch track I need to go further on. These three meetings should supply me with enough material to do a good work. The Company name Formgivning... Is the name degrading for the role of the designer? I once wrote that a designers role is to through a design process come up with products. After a talk with my tutor Rasmus and consideration I now se its only half true. What the designer is doing is through a design process and resulting products communicate a value. The value of the customer. And the product is in this case only a last tool to communicate this value. So the name formgiving...I will have to reflect over that name if it s what my brand will stands for. Since Formgiving speaks more of physical form and shape and less of the concept behind. The situation of my blog. There is a problem being on tumblr. My idea is to have a vivid blog that communicates with readers. To create a forum for debate. This is not really the situation here on tumblr since one has to be a member to ad comments and not only that, but comments are not seen by others but me. I will have to consider other possibilities.
