New Full Length Album Announcement

I have amazing news!  I am working on a new album called Magnolia, set for release in March 2016!!!!  I am working with some amazing people, let me introduce you!

Aaron Strumpel is producing the album both at his home studio and here in Alberta in partnership with Heath West at Melodious Design out of Red Deer!  We will be working with numerous musicians and artists from all over North America, I can't wait to tell you more about them soon!

Songs are already being worked on but we have an early sneak peak of the tune Home, recorded this summer and now entered in the ATB All Albertan Song Contest!

Lingering Blog - Melodious Design

I sort of met Heath West when he stopped by to see the progress of our house here in High River this past summer.....good opening line right?  

Heath and Shauna West, a lovely couple from Red Deer/Ohio have partnered with the multi-talented Kooman Brothers (Andrew, Daniel and Matt) to create an amazing recording studio/live venue/video production hub in Red Deer, AB.  These friends have dreamed big and now have a beautiful space (called The Space) housing two creative ventures Unveil Studios and Melodious Design.

Back to the opening line, as we were rebuilding our house this summer, these guys were renovating their space in Red Deer and they stopped by after picking up some gear south of High River.  The kicker is I was not home, but Gary got to meet these fine lads!  We have been friends with Andrew Kooman for some time and we always love visiting with him, he is an incredible inspiration and a super hard worker!  He introduced us to Heath and well the rest is history.

I LOVED recording in this room, the live room is beautiful yet comfortable and captures some really interesting natural reverb.  You can especially hear the quality of the room in the vocal and guitar tracks!  I am so thankful to Heath and Shauna for allowing me to come record with them and for the extra grace and flexibility they exhibited to be able to work with my schedule and crazy deadlines.  These are good people, you should know them!
