A couple weeks ago I started hanging out with a dude. Like kind of romantically (shocker, I know). But I think now I remember why I don't do this sort of thing. Last night I was informed by a mutual friend that this dude is dating another girl...and then I had a friend friendship break up with me because he can't stand seeing me with another dude, and he knows there's no reciprocal feelings from me for him, but he always held out hope anyway and now he doesn't see the point in even maintaining a friendship with me. You guys. That's probably one of the shittiest things anyone's ever said to me. Saying that my friendship isn't worthwhile enough on its own without the potential for romance? I totally fucking cried (just a little). At a bar. I'm too old for this shit.
