Friendly reminder that the /s on people’s posts & comments stands for “sarcasm.” Not everybody frequents Reddit (where this shorthand is most often used) so it’s not as well-known here on Tumblr where the communities overlap.

On a lighter note I think it would be fun if the DR community made Kodaka react to all the DR memes, the DR shitpost videos on YouTube, the DR abridged series and basically all the meme worthy stuff that the Western fanbase makes (obviously translated so he can fully relish the glorious chaotic crazy stuff the Western fanbase makes)
Sorry, anon, I’m on mobile so I can’t do multi-asks at the moment.
You’re raising an interesting point about cross-cultural meme translation that I’m unsure if I’m awake enough to really give proper attention to. All I can add right now is I’ve tried explaining certain memes to coworkers before, with varying degrees of success, and I don’t know how much is missing cultural knowledge, my ability to explain, or my coworkers’ general normieness.
Throwback to that time I referenced the "centipedes? In my vagina?" meme and the people I was talking to had never heard of it and were horrified.
