Hindsight was a powerful, sometimes frustrating motivator, but it did little to encourage Thundercracker as he slammed his full weight against the door for a third time.
Before leaving for Cybertron to take on his new role, the Seeker had received a message from what appeared to be an alternate Earth. It was short and simple, merely asking for a companion to aid in the exploration of an abandoned military complex. In particular, they needed someone that could help with any unexpected security measures. While not as skilled as his brother, he was still rather confident in his ability to infiltrate even the most basic of human defense networks. After all, if he could do it to the Autobots, what hope could human systems possibly have to keep him out?
Upon arrival, he should have known something was off. Blast doors leading into the compound stood ajar, though only just enough to allow a slim human to slip through. Thundercracker gave a curious flick of his wings, glancing over his shoulders as he moved forward to pry it open for himself. While definitely not large enough for someone like Demolishor or Cyclonus to have slipped inside, he still found himself stooping just a bit--for once, his short stature was paying off. Though as soon as his dorsal wings had passed over the threshold, he froze: the doors had slammed shut behind him.
"...well ain't that just dandy. Slag."
Immediately after, he rammed the door. And then again. Finally, a third time--only then did he concede that it would not budge under his assault. "Juuuust great. Ugh. Well. Ain't gettin' back out that way."
